Installation Procedure:
1. Power OFF the MFP device - turn both the operation and main power switches off and disconnect the power
plug from the power outlet.
2. Remove the upper cabinet front left. Also, disconnect the USB Device Port connector from the USB I/F PWB.
3. Attach the card reader fixing tape to the IC card reader holder referring to the notches as the reference.

4. Attach the IC card reader to the IC card reader holder according to the attachment reference ribs.
Note: The attachment reference position differs depending on the kind of the IC card reader.
5. Bind up the IC card reader cable onto the rear of the IC card holder (as indicated below).
Note: The length of cable will differ depending on the manufacturer of the IC card reader being installed:-
6. Secure the IC card reader cable to the IC card holder with the binding bands:-
Note: The above work must be complete before attaching the IC card holder to the upper cabinet front left.
7. Hook the IC Card Reader Holder onto the upper cabinet front left and secure using two fixing screws:-

9. Re-attach the upper cabinet front left to the main body and attach the IC card label (as shown):-
10. Turn ON the power of the main unit.
IC Card Reader Device Registration:
a. Enter the card reader setting menu as shown below.
System Settings - User Control - Administrator Login -Card Reader Device Registration
b. Press [Read] button.
c. Disconnect the connector which links the machine and the IC card reader, and then insert it back.
d. Press [OK] button.
e. Check to confirm that values are displayed on Product ID and Vender ID.
f. Press [SUBMIT] button, and check to confirm that the success dialog message is displayed.
IC Card Setting for Internal User Control:
a. Enter the card reader setting menu as shown below.
System Settings - User Control - Administrator Login - Card Type/Card Reader Settings.
b. Check Use IC Card for Authentication.
c. Press [Submit] button.
IC Card Recognition Check:
There are two check methods of IC card recognition - use either one to check that the IC card reader has been
recognized.

Home -Settings - System Settings - USB-Device Check
Check to confirm that Card Reader/Writer is displayed.
Check Method 2
Confirm that the card reader icon is displayed on the system area of the Home screen.
