INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAUNCHER TOOL                                   
           
 
■  Operation Environment 
Windows XP 
Windows Vista 
Windows 7 
<NOTE> 
Log on with administrator authority. 
Only 32 bit OSes are supported. 
 
■  How to Install Service Tool 
1) 
All the tools are provided in a zip file.    Decompress the zip file to C:\ 
<Caution> The operation may fail if space is inserted to folder path. 
2) 
In case the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Runtime Library is not installed, execute bundled “vcredist_x86.exe” and install library. 
* In case an error message "Command line option syntax error. Type Command /? for Help." is displayed, double-byte character 
(Japanese) may be included in user name. Log on with the user name with administrator authority which includes only one-byte 
character and install. If no user has been registered, go to User Accounts in Control Panel and register a user. 
3) 
Execute bundled “CGProbe Redistributable 5.7.0.1.exe” and install library before using this tool. This step is not necessary if the 
library has been installed. 
4) 
Download .Net Framework 3.5 or later from Microsoft home page and install before using this tool. 
 
■  How to Confirm Version information of Service Tool 
1) Activate Launcher Tool. Confirm version number of service tool shown on upper right of the window.

7-1. How to Use
 
1) 
Execute ”ServiceToolsLauncher.exe” in the same folder as that of expanded service tool. 
* Library may have not been installed if the execution failed. Refer to “3.2 How to install Service Tool” and install the library. 
* In case “User Account Control” window appears, click on “Allow”. 
 
 
 
2) Once the service tool is activated, click on necessary key and start necessary operation.

Serial Number 
Reads/writes the serial number of a monitor. 
Usage Time 
Reads/writes the Usage Time of a monitor. 
InfoDisp Report 
Reads system log and temperature log on a monitor. 
EDID 
Writes EDID to a D-SUB terminal. 
Main Firmware 
Writes Main firmware to a monitor via RS-232C cable. 
Lan Firmware 
Writes LAN firmware to a monitor via RS-232C cable.

7-2. How to Confirm Version information of Service Tool
 
1)  Activate Launcher Tool. Confirm version number of service tool shown on upper right of the window.

8How to Adjust White Balance     
                                                       
8-1. Overview
 
White Balance setting is used to correct the color variation between panels. 
- In case a panel replacement is not required: 
Color variation is prevented by copying the setting for current panel. 
This model requires manual read/write. (It does not work with the White balance setting read tool.) 
- In case a panel replacement is not required or old PWB is not working: 
  Execute reset process and change the setting back to default. 
 
8-2. Reading Set Value
 
2) Display 
“SERVICE 
MENU2”. 
To display “SERVICE MENU2”, press and hold [SIZE] key on remote control (for more than 5 seconds), press [
←], [↓], [→], [↑] keys in 
series, point the cursor to “SERVICE2” and press “ENTER”. 
3) 
Point the cursor to “WHITE BALANCE SETTING” and press “ENTER”. 
4) 
Once “WHITE BALANCE SETTING” is displayed, set “COLOR TEMPERATURE” to “9000K”. 
Make sure to record the value of “R-GAIN”, “G-GAIN”, “B-GAIN”, “R-OFFSET”, “G-OFFSET”, and “B-OFFSET” displayed on screen. 
 
Note: 
 
Record the set value for “9000K” only. The value for other color temperature is not required.
