(2) AGC CONFIG, SCAN CONFIG
Default of AGC Config and Scan Config are decided to configuration file
(
3Refer to page 4 - 45 "(8) CHANGE CONFIGRATION".), but they
can be changed by pull-down.
1 ) AGC Config
Press [Check] button when item of “AGC Config” is “AGC -5db” or
“AGC -4db” or “AGC -2db” or “AGC 0db”. After AGC is fixed to
appropriate value, state of LED/Sensor is obtained.
Press [Check] button when item of “AGC Config” is “AGC AUTO”.
Press [Check] button when item of “AGC Config” is “AGC AUTO”.
The error of process check item is checked, and error information
is displayed if there is error, and after AGC is adjusted by the auto-
matic operation, state of LED/Sensor is obtained if there isn’t error.

Press [Check] button when item of “AGC Config” is “Current”. State
of LED/Sensor is obtained without the change in AGC. Item of
“Current” can be switched to display (AGC_TEST=2) or nondisplay
“Current” can be switched to display (AGC_TEST=2) or nondisplay

AGC_TEST=0, the change in item of “AGC Config” is impossible
AGC_TEST=0, the change in item of “AGC Config” is impossible
and configuration is always a setting of “Current”.
2 ) Scan Config
Invalid configration of short scan is done when item of “Scan Con-
fig” is changed to “NORMAL ONLY”, and it is taken back when item
of “Scan Config” is changed to “DEFAULT”.

(3) AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF AGC
“(3)” and “(4)” explains the operation when [Check] is pressed. When
item of “AGC Config” isn’t “AGC AUTO”, look at “(4)” because process
of “(3)” isn’t done. When item of “AGC Config” is “AGC AUTO”, the error
of “(3)” isn’t done. When item of “AGC Config” is “AGC AUTO”, the error
is checked by the following five steps. Moreover, step which is checked
by all attenuators is executed in order of -5db, -4db, -2db, and 0db (Cor-
respond step is step3) and step4.).
respond step is step3) and step4.).
<PROCESS CHECK ITEM1 (AGC_FIXTEST)>
STEP1:
The error is put out if there is a sensor in specified attenuator
(*AGC_FIXTEST_ATTENUATOR_SETTING) that exceeds the accept-
able distance from average value of OFF value
able distance from average value of OFF value
(*AGC_FIXTEST_PD_OFF_RANGE).
STEP2:
The error is put out if there is a sensor in specified attenuator that is
smaller than Acceptable minimum value of DIFF value
smaller than Acceptable minimum value of DIFF value
(*AGC_FIXTEST_PD_DIFF_RANGE).
<PROCESS CHECK ITEM2 (AGC_RANGETEST)>

exceeds the acceptable distance from average value of OFF value

smaller than Acceptable minimum value of DIFF value

(*AGC_RANGETEST_PD_DIFF_RANGE).
STEP5:
The error is put out if there isn’t validity of DIFF value.
VALIDITY OF DIFF VALUE
Average DIFF value increases as the attenuator value increases until
attenuator value that is first attenuator whose average DIFF value isn’t
attenuator value that is first attenuator whose average DIFF value isn’t
less than Monotone increase limit value of DIFF
value(*AGC_RANGETEST_PD_DIFF_LINEAR_TH).
Average DIFF values is bigger than High gain side descent of DIFF
value (*AGC_RANGETEST_PD_DIFF_REVERSE_TH) after first atten-
value (*AGC_RANGETEST_PD_DIFF_REVERSE_TH) after first atten-
uator whose average DIFF value isn’t less than Monotone increase limit
value of DIFF value appears.
If error is detected from either of sensor or substrate, it doesn’t proceed
to the next step. All substrates are evaluated in the step where the error
to the next step. All substrates are evaluated in the step where the error
was detected. Moreover, if error is detected in a certain attenuator
value, it doesn’t proceed to the next attenuator value.
If there is no error in five steps of the above, AGC Configuration taken
back and process of “(4)” is done. If there is an error, information of
back and process of “(4)” is done. If there is an error, information of
error is displayed.
