3-4. CONNECTION WITH A PC
In order to operate each function, it is necessary to change Touch monitor and PC into connection state. The start-up state of ServiceTool is
“Not Connected”, so please push the “Connect” button first.
When the cable is not connected, or when there is no response from a display, the message of the purport as “connection error” is
displayed.
If the cable is connected normally, and there is no response from a display, the main board may not be operating.
When the USB connection is not worked correctly, the following factors could be the possible causes.
- USB cable is not connected.
- The PWB in the monitor is broken
- The power of the monitor is not turned on.

When PC connection is made normally, following information is displayed.
(1) Model name (Connected Device)
(2) The current version number (Version)
(3) Model name (Model)
(4) The destination (Region)
(5) Serial number (Serial Number)
(6) Usage time of LED back light (Back Light Usage Time)

3-5. FUNCTION OUTLINE
Update the version of the software
The software of the controller of LL-S201A is updated to the new one.
Model setting
The model name setting is set or changed in case of board exchange and the repair.
Destination setting
Used to change the destination when the PWBs are replaced or fixed.
Serial number setting
To use the serial number in the replaced or fixed PWB, set the serial number.
Backlight usage time setting.
Used to set the backlight operating time when the PWBs or LCD module are replaced.
White Balance setting
Read the setting value of White Balance and save this value to the PC. After saving the value,
the saved value can be sent to the new PWB.
Factory Setting Reset
Used to reset the user adjustment values, the usage time, and the operation logs to the factory
setting.
Aging
Used to display the aging pattern and execute the aging.
LED lighting check
Used to check whether LED lights correctly.
Test Pattern
Displaying the test pattern, check the image position or the image output when the LCD module is
replaced.
TC Adjustment
In case of exchange touch panel, adjust the touch panel setting.
DigiPen Check
In case of exchange touch panel, check the operation of the digitizer pen.
Log Read
The system log recorded on the Touch monitor is acquired.
Log Reset
The system log recorded on the Touch monitor is reset in case of board exchange.
Menu Backup
The backup file of menu setting on the Touch monitor is acquired in case of board exchange.
Menu Restore
The menu setting on the Touch monitor is restored by the backup file in case of board exchange.
USB memory update
The procedure of performing software update using a USB memory is shown. And it has the
function which copies the update file to a USB memory.

3-6. SOFTWARE UPDATE
■OUTLINE
The Touch monitor is composed of the scaler part and the touch-panel part, and is upgraded by rewriting four firmware. Upgrade all
firmware via USB. If it upgrades with the service tool, all firmware will be rewritten.
■STORAGE PLACE OF THE DATA FOR SOFTWARE UPDATE
Files of version-up is located in the following folder on the PC.
Operation when you have replaced the file is not covered under warranty.
