7) When the flash memory data has been written successfully, the screen
looks like this: (The message "Finished. (reset the monitor)" is displayed.)
8) If writing fails, the following window will appear. 
(The message "Error!!" is displayed.)
9) If writing is finished successfully, disconnect the monitor power
cable and then connect again. Press the [Power] key on the monitor
to turn the monitor off.
10)  If you want to write flash memory data to another set of PC, press
the Back button after writing is finished successfully, and the screen
will return to step (6).
On this screen, you can write flash memory data to another set of
PC. Hold down the [c/MODE], [e] and [d] keys on the monitor while
pressing the [Power] key to turn it on. With [ISP MODE] displayed,
start with tem (6).
11) When you want to ext the flash memory data writing process, press
the [Back] button and then press the [Exit].

 7. PROCEDURE FOR REPLACING LL-193A/G SERIES MAIN PWB
[Outline of work]
For replacement of the main PWB of the LL-193A/G series, the follow-
ing procedure should be followed:
1) Read the following two pieces of information from the old monitor.
• Usage Time
• SOGREF
2) Replace the PWB with a new one and write the EDID for the model.
(For the procedure, see the LL-193A/G EDID Writing Procedure.)
3)  Upgrade the firmware if necessary.
(For the procedure, see the LL-193A/G Flash Memory Writing Pro-
cedure.)
4) Set up for the domestic or overseas model.
(Set the default setting of OSD language.)
5) Write the user settings (Usage Time, SOGREF) which have been
read in step 1.
6) Final checking
[Detailed information on the procedure]
1) Read the information (Usage Time, SOGREF) from the old monitor.
The following explanation is given supposing that the monitor is
now OFF.
1 Hold down the [MENU] button and [3] while pressing the
[POWER] button.
2 The following version information is displayed. Write down
Usage Time and SOGREF value.
In the case of the above display, write down 150 as Usage Time
and 3 as the SOGREF value.
3 Press the [POWER] button to turn off the power.
Caution: If the user's monitor does not work, set:
Usage Time = 0 
SOGREF = 1 
2) Replace the PWB with a new one and write the EDID for the model
in the following manner: 
1 Replace the PWB with a new one.
2 Write the EDID for the model. (The model name and serial num-
ber are written.)
For the procedure, see the LL193A/G EDID Writing Procedure.
3 Write the contents of the EDID to the User EEPROM.
For the procedure, see the 1193A/G EDID Writing Procedure.
3) Upgrade the firmware if necessary.
For the procedure, see the LL-193A/G Flash Memory Writing Pro-
cedure.
4) Set up for the domestic or overseas model. (Set the default setting
of OSD language.)
1 Hold down the [MENU], [1] and [3] while pressing the
[POWER] button.
2 The SERVICE MODE menu is displayed. Select the DEFAULT
LANGUAGE.
3 The DEFAULT LANGUAGE (the language shown after ALL
RESET is performed.) menu is displayed. Select the language
you want to use.
• Domestic model: JAPANESE
• Overseas model: ENGLISH
4 Press the [MENU] button to return to the SERVICE MODE menu.
5) Write the contents of the user settings which have been read in item
1 on the preceding page.
<Usage Time>
1 On the SERVICE MENU screen, select USAGE TIME.
The screen looks like this.
2 Press both the [1] and [3] buttons at the same time. 
Enter the Usage Time of the old monitor. 
(Note: If you replace the LCD panel together, set the Usage
Time to 0.)
You can move through a list of items using [MODE].
You can also increase or decrease the value using [
1] and
[
3].
(If the cursor is at MANUAL, the value is set to 00000 when the
[
3] and [RESET] are pressed at the same time.

3 After making sure that the correct Usage Time has been
entered, press the [MENU] button to return to the SERVICE
MODE menu.
<SOGREF>
1 On the SERVICE MODE menu screen, select SOGREF.
Match the SOGREF value to the user setting.
2 Press the [Power] button to turn off the power.
5) Final checking
1 Hold down both [MENU] and [MODE] while pressing the
[Power] button.
ALL RESET is performed.
2 Turn the power off. Hold down both the [MENU] and [3] but-
tons while pressing the [POWER] button. 
The following information (previous model name, serial number,
DEFAULT LANGUAGE, Usage Time, and SOGREF) is displayed.
Check that the same Usage Time and SOGREF as those found
on the old monitor are set.
Check that the language used is the one selected in step 4.
• Domestic model: Japanese
• Overseas model: English
3 Press the [Power] button to turn off the power. Switch off the
power switch on the rear.
8. PROCEDURE FOR REPLACING LL-193A/G
PANEL
[Outline of work]
When you replace the LCD panel of the LL-173A/G series with a new
one, it is necessary to set the Usage Time to 0. (The Usage Time is an
approximate total time the lamp on the panel has stayed lit. When using
a new panel, you are required to set the Usage Time to 0.) 
[Detailed information on the procedure]
1) Replace the LCD panel with a new one.
2) Set the Usage Time following the procedure given below:
1 Hold down the [MENU] + [1] + [3] while pressing the
[POWER] button. The screen looks like this.
2 Move the cursor to USAGE TIME and press the [3] button.
3 Press both the [1] and the [3] buttons at the same time.
The following screen is displayed. Set all the items to 0.
Movement of an item can be performed in [MODE].
Numerical change is possible at [
1] or [3].
4 Make sure that the Usage Time is set to 0, and then press the
[MENU] button to exit this screen.
3) Press the [Power] button to turn off the power supply. Hold down
both the [MENU] button and the [
3] button at the same time while
press the [Power] button.
Check that the Usage Time is set to 0 on the Version screen.
4) Press the [Power] button to turn off the power, and then switch off
the power switch on the rear.

CHAPTER 3. DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
■ KEY PWB UNIT & SPEAKER UNIT DISASSEMBLY
1) Remove four screws 1, and remove the stand unit2.
2) Remove four screws 3, and remove the rear cover 4.
3) Remove two yellow tapes 5 and two aluminum tapes 6.
4) Remove one screw 7 and the earth terminal 8. Remove one screw 9
and two screws F. Remove the key PWB unit/speaker unit1 G. Dis-
connect the connector H at one position.
5) Disconnect the connector from the key PWB unit I, and remove two
speaker units J.
