2) Customer display
There are two customer display options available for the UP-3500.
The pole type customer display or an integrated type rear display can
be installed.
3) Screen save mode
The screen save function starts when the POS terminal is left idle for an
extended period of time. You can program the time for which your POS
terminal should keep the normal status before it goes into the screen
saver mode. If the time has not been preset, the screen saver will be
started after 100 minutes.
To exit the screen saver mode, touch anywhere on the touch panel (a
secret code may be required at this time).

CHAPTER 2. OPTIONS
Caution: • Before executing assembly or disassembly of an option, be sure to backup the necessary data in advance.
After completion of assembly or disassembly, perform the master resetting. 
• When executing assembly or disassembly of an option with the cabinet open, follow the procedures below.
(Target options: UP-S04MB2, UP-I04EF)
1) Backup the necessary data.
2) Open the memory cover.
3) SP3 3-4 short.
4) Execute disassembly/assembly of the option.
5) SP3 2-3 short.
6) Close the memory cover.
7) Execute calibration the touch panel and execute the master reset-
ting.

CHAPTER 3. SERVICE PRECAUTION
1. IPL PROCEDURE FROM EP-ROM
1) Disconnect the AC adapter. (Though the standby mode switch is
set to Standby, the circuit is active. Therefore, be sure to disconnect
the AC plug or the DC plug to cut off the power supply.)
2) Jumber PIN on CPU PWB is set to IPL mode
3) Set 4 EP-ROM to the IPL board and set the IPL board on Sub PWB
(ROM number is printed on IPL board)
4) Reset switch of right side of cabinet is set to ON position
5) Connect the AC adapter and IPL starts
6) After “Complete” message appear on operator display, Remove the
AC adapter
7) Remove the IPL board from Sub PWB and set Jumber PIN on CPU
PWB to Normal position
8) Please do master reset
