The UP-3300 is locked in Mode screen or PGM Mode and the User
can not get back to Trading screen.

A Clerk is in overlap on a machine.
If the system is Centralised Clerk, the Clerk will be on another
machine, If it is an Individual system the Clerk will be on the
machine you are at.

When a Menu with a small number of items appears I would like
the buttons to appear in the centre of the screen.

There is a method of doing this.
When creating the key layout in PGM the number 1 key should be
set to appear in the centre.

I want PLU’s to be printed at KP when entered at one machine but
not printed when entered from another.

A problem arises because the PLU will have a KP assigned to
them which ever machine they are in, so you need to set the
machine to think it has a printer when it actually hasn't.

Is the UP-3300 capable of bar code scanning ?

Yes,
If the machine has been upgrade to PRS ROM Board.
The Scanning feature works by extending the PLU code to a 14
Digit entry.
