Guest number can be printed on KP (see optional, printing functions)
Clerk name will be displayed on the screen.
There is a waste function that will allow for individual PLU`s to be recorded when
these items have been prepared but not sold to the customer.
The £ sign can be allocated as text by pressing the page key, then shift key, from
the QWERTY key layout. (Or using the code 156).
There is a Bill Report. This will print all the bills that have been issued by the GC
receipt key, it will contain the Bill Number the Clerk Number the Date and the Bill
amount. (The file has to be created first).
There is a Service Time Report, this will refer to the time between ordering and
finalizing the drive through codes.
To get the best effect of itemised table bills without zero priced items and with
the balance printed on each copy of Bill, you will set service line 921-C to be
continuous, and line 928-D for printing of new balance on slip.
The GLU 2 and drive through codes will automatically generate next highest
code.
The [j ] symbol that is displayed on the main display area will cause the
JOURNAL of the current transaction to be displayed when pressed.
The Device Config feature in Program Mode will allow for items to be suspended
from being printed at the KP by the setting of an Auto Key.
The Happy Hour feature will not change the price whilst the transaction is open.
The End Time refers to the final minute of Happy Hour e.g. if entering 5:03
happy hour will continue until 5:04
If a Cashier is overlapped their transaction will remain in Happy Hour but other
Cashiers will revert to correct prices.
There are 2 features within the programming that will assist the programmer;
they are LIST and CALL.
LIST will bring up a list of selection relevant to the job you have selected. (This is
very useful when you require to allocate a department to a PLU for e.g. Highlight
DEPT then press list all the department codes and text will be displayed as a sub
menu.
CALL will allow you to Echo or Copy one PLU settings to another.
Access to the Service Position without changing the position of the Reset Switch
at the back of the UP3300.There is a setting in Service Mode called SRV SECRET
CODE if you enter this code in PGM Mode the machine will go into SRV Mode.

4. Memory Allocation
The UP3300 has 274497 bytes of memory available from master reset
The UP3301 has 1290623 bytes of memory available from master reset
As an example you could have a machine without additional memory, with the
following features
500 PLU with 3-price band, 3 pint prices 16 characters of text, waste etc.
10 Departments 16 characters of text.
10 Clerks
10 Overlap Clerks
50/1000 GLUs (type 1)
20/1000 GLUs (type 2)
100 Recipe Tables
10 Condiment Tables
10 Combo Tables
30 Link Tables
Also both machines will allow IRC and the above features (reduce Clerk to 6 on the
UP3300) without any additional memory.
UP-3301
Because the UP3301 has an extra 1 meg of RAM the above can be significantly
increased

5. Electronic journal
There is a difference in the functionality of the Electronic Journal on the UP3300 and
UP3301.
UP3300/01
The UP3300/01 can be set for the transactions to continue or lock out when the
EJ is full.
If you have programmed the UP3300 to lock when EJ becomes full
it will then have to be reset in Z1 Mode or select DATA CLEAR in PGM.
The operator will be warned that the EJ is full by a red box indicator, this will
appear below the total figure on the display. This box will first appear as green,
then change to amber, as the Electronic Journal becomes full.
The Electronic Journal can produce reports for any or all of the following
categories: -
By Consecutive Number range.
By Date range.
By Clerk range.
UP3300 only
If you have the UP3300 set to continue, when EJ becomes full, the oldest entered
transaction will remain in the EJ file, but any subsequent transactions will not be
stored in the EJ file.
UP3301 only
If you have the UP3301 set to continue when EJ becomes full, the oldest entered
transactions will be deleted and the newest entered transaction will remain in the EJ
file. This is the preferred method
