The last 2 items on the UP3300 settings menu are IR data send, and IR data receive,
these refer to the Infra Red transfer of data between two UP3300`s or between a
UP3300 and floppy disc loader. The IR transfer is to be used as a service tool to
allow an engineer to send the complete contents of one UP3300 to another UP3300.

UP3301 Specific
Data send & Data receive
Because the UP3301 does not use the IR transmission, there is the facility to Data
send and Data receive using a serial cable between CH2 (this cable would be the
APLD specification)
Contactless Key
By placing the contacless key to the installed reader the key can be allocated a

8. UP3300/01 Utility Tools
Sharp Utilities
There are a number of Utilities available for the UP3300/01.
1. 02FD.exe
2. POSUtilityTools.exe (Only Available from Version B UP3301, not UP3300)
8.1 02FD.exe
This Utility will allow complete data transfer between the UP3300/01 and your PC.
It is a Windows based program
To use the Utility you will require the following items.
Hardware/Software
1. APLD CABLE (Refer to CABLE section)
2. 02FD.exe
3. Computer

Machine Set Up
1. Put ECR into Data Receive or Data Send Mode in SRV.
2. Select either ALL RAM or SSP
3. Select Baud Rate (as set on ER02FD.exe)
You must use Channel 2 for the data transfer.

8.2 PosUtilitytool.exe
(UP3301 minimum B version)
This Utility will allow ROM Images to be sent to your UP3301 from PC.
The ROM Image would be sent as a file if there is any need to do so.

Set up the machine for IPL mode, (set switch on left hand side at rear of the
machine)

UP3300 and UP3301 using ERA7RS/RS2
There is also a procedure to upgrade images using EPROMS in place of the PC
download.
To upgrade ROM Version this way insert the 2 ROM Chips into sockets 1 and 2 on
the ERA7RS or ERA7RS2 board and place the IPL switch to IPL on.
Power off ECR fit the ERA7RS card and power the ECR back on.
The Display will go Blank and the machine will bleep whilst the ROM image is being
transferred.
