2. Description
We are receiving a lot of queries regarding the operation of the ERA570/610. The queries
are related to the programming of the IRC and the hardware setup. Please be aware of the
following when setting up a system.
1.
When Installing an ERA570/610 IRC system it is essential that two 50ohm terminators are
fitted at either end of the cable run. They should be fitted irrespective of the length of the
cable.
2.
When setting up an IRC system slave machine it should be noted that a T-LOG Buffer
should be created. Although for some functions it is not required, EAN and Customer file
operation will not work correctly without the T-LOG Buffer. The master machine should not
have a T-LOG Buffer unless it is connected to a PC, it should have a T-LOG RCV file.
3.
If changing a slave machine into a master the T-LOG Buffer should be deleted and a
T-LOG RCV file created. If the master is left with a T-LOG Buffer and No PC connected the
machine will operate for a short period and then lock out with "T-LOG Full" on the display
