U20 (Skew Error)
19 00 00 00 1. Document on the Hopper
   Tray is not set correctly.
Set the document on the Hopper Tray,
sliding the Document Guides so that they
match the document width and execute
scanning again.
2. ADF Door is not closed
    firmly.
Close the door firmly. 
3. A roller (Paper Feed,
   Separation, DFP, Drive, Exit,
   or Free) is dirty.
1. Clean the roller.
2. Clear the counter for cleaning roller to
    zero with the Service Utility described in
    Sec. 9.
4. A roller (Paper Feed,
   Separation, DFP, Drive, or
   Exit) is swollen irregularly.
1. Replace the roller. 
2. After replacing Paper Feed, Separation,
   and DFP Rollers, clear the counter for
   replacing roller to zero with the Service
   Utility described in Sec. 9.
5. Paper dust exists on or
   around a Skew Sensor.
Clean the sensor surface.
6. The Skew (L) Sensor does
    not work properly.
1. Execute “Key / Sensor” test in the
    Sec. 9.3.6 to check the sensor
    condition. 
2. Check the sensor alignment is proper.
   (whether the sensor direction faces
   its reflector.) 
3. Check the following connections and
    soldering condition on each connector: 
      a. CN13 (STARTING SENSOR
          Board) to CN12 (SENSOR RELAY
          Board) 
      b. CN29 (SENSOR RELAY Board) to
          CN2006 (CENTER Board) 
4. Check the following signal: 
      a. SKEW_L signal (CN2006-12th pin)
        
→3.3 V (when no document exists on
           the SKEW_L Sensor) 
      b. Check the reference signal for the
          SKEW_L signal on the CENTER
          Board.
      
→ IC2027-4th pin: 3.3 V (when no
          document exists)
5. Replace faulty parts or boards. 
7. The Skew (R) Sensor does
    not work properly
1. Execute “Key / Sensor” test in the
   Sec. 9.3.6 to check the sensor
   condition.
2. Check the sensor alignment is proper.
   (whether the sensor direction faces its
   reflector) 
3. Check the following connections and
    soldering condition on each connector: 
       a. CN13(STARTING SENSOR Board)
           to CN12(SENSOR RELAY Board) 
       b. CN29 (SENSOR RELAY Board)
           to CN2006(CENTER Board 
4. Check the following signals:
   
a. SKEW_R signal (CN2006-13th pin)
    
→ 3.3 V (when no document exists on
        the SKEW_R Sensor) 
  b. Check the reference signal for
      the SKEW_R signal on the CENTER
      Board. 
    
→ IC2027-3rd pin: 3.3 V (when no
        document exists)
5. Replace faulty parts or boards.

    with the above service utility.
6. Double Feed Detector does
    not work properly.
1. Execute “Double Feed” test in Sec.
    9.3.7. to adjust Send Level for Double
    Feed Detector.
2. Execute “Double Feed” test in Sec.
    9.3.6. to check the detector condition.
3. Check whether the Double Feed
    Detector is aligned property.
4. Check the following connections and
    soldering condition on each connector:
         
a. Double Feed Detector (G) to
            CN28 (SENSOR RELAY Board)
        b. CN29 (SENSOR RELAY Board)
            to CN2006 (CENTER Board)
        c. Double Feed Detector (R) to
           CN31(OUTER CONVEYOR Board)
        d. CN32(OUTER CONVEYOR
           Board) to CN2007 (CENTER
           Board)
5. Replace faulty parts or boards.

    DRIVE Board:
     
 a. IC4007-1,3,4 and 5th pins
         (phase signals): See Fig. 10.2.1.
      b. IC4007-19th pin (VREF): 2.5 V
          or less.
4. Replace faulty parts or boards.
3. Hopper mechanical problem
   (Rotation from the Paper
    Feed Motor Gear is not
    transmitted to the Hopper
    properly.)
1. Check the Hopper mechanism
  condition by carrying out "Hopper
  Drive"
 test. (See 9.3.6.)
    Note: 
Regarding the Hopper lift drive
mechanism, see Sec. 6.3 and 6.4. 
2. Reassemble improper lay-out or
    replace faulty parts.
4. Hopper Home Detector does
    not work properly.
1. Execute “Key / Sensor” test in the
    Sec. 9.3.6 to check the detector
    condition.
2. Check whether the Interrupter plate
    interrupts the detector correctly.
3. Check the following connection and
    soldering condition on each connector:
   
→ CN23 (HOPPER HOME DETECTOR
       Board) to CN26(SESOR RELAY
       Board)
4. Check HOPPER_HOME signal:
    
→ CN23-3rd pin (5 V when Interrupter
        plate interrupts IC3005 on the
        HOPPER HOME Board.
5. Check the soldering condition of
    IC2007 on the CENTER Board and
    repair it.
6. Replace faulty parts and boards.
