AG Filtration Control
4.8.1.
Sterile filtration control
Storage sensor on the Control panel detects the volume of stor-
age at the time of PC Door opening and closing.
Then, it is automatically switched between Normal mode and
Powerful mode depending on the volume of storage.
1.  Normal mode
• Cooling inside air pass through AG filter to remove bac-
teria from the air by the effect of Silver ion on the surface
of filter.
2. Powerful mode
• AG filter is exposed to LED, and OH radical is produced
in a chemical reaction. OH radical and Silver ion on the
AG filter remove bacteria from cooling air.
3. Switching control
• When PC door is opened and closed, if Storage sensor
detects an increase in the volume of storage or a high
volume of storage in PC, it is changed to Powerful mode.
• Powerful mode has continued for 24 hours from the
beginning.
4. Ability of sterile filtration
(the time required to 99% sterile filtration)
•  Normal mode : Approx. 24 hours
•  Powerful mode : Approx. 16 hours
4.9.
FC Defrosting Control
The cycle of the defrosting is decided according to the state of
the defrosting and the ambient temperature.
Termination is detected by Defrost sensor, but maximum
defrosting time is 60 minutes (Defrosting forcibly stops).
 (After defrosting)
• After 3 minutes, Compressor restarts.
• After 8 minutes, Fan motor (FC) starts.
 (Defrosting termination temperature)
It depends on Ambient temperature (AT).
Defrost sensor
•  +9 °C OFF ..... AT 29 °C or above
•  +10 °C OFF ..... AT 14 - 28 °C
•  +11 °C OFF  ..... AT 13 °C or below
(Safety device)
• When the temperature of Defrost sensor doesn't reach a
defined value within 60 minutes, the defrosting is forcibly
stopped by the microcomputer.
• Thermal fuse (AT 73 °C, it becomes blown.)
4.9.1.

set to {AUTO ICE OFF}.
• If the Ice tray is removed during ice release operation, the
Ice tray may be broken.
4.10.3. QUICK ICE MAKING control
When you need to make ice cubes quickly, activate the {QUICK
ICE MAKING} function.
• {QUICK ICE MAKING} makes ice cubes in a minimum time
of approximately 80 minutes*1 per Ice-making operation by
the controls such as forced operation of the Compressor,
and it will automatically finished in approximately 6 hours.
(After approximately 6 hours, it will return to normal Auto ice-
making.)
*1. AT 20°C, without door opening.
HOW TO SET
Press [QUICK ICE MAKING] button
(beep)turn on the
lamp.
CAUTION
• When the {QUICK ICE MAKING} flashes, it is in a state of
defrosting.
• After defrosting is completed, it will start automatically
{QUICK ICE MAKING}.
• If {QUICK ICE MAKING} selects while {FRESH FREEZING}
is performed, {FRESH FREEZING} is canceled.
HOW TO CANCEL
Press [QUICK ICE MAKING] button
(beep)turn off the
lamp.
4.10.4. AUTO ICE OFF control
When you do not want to make ice cubes or before cleaning the
Ice Tray, it can be stopped the Auto ice-making.
HOW TO SET (Disable)

CAUTION
• Button operations cannot be performed while the beep is
sounding and the lamp is flashing.
• While setting in AUTO ICE OFF control, if it comes to ice
release timing, Ice-making operation is stopped right before
ice release.
(When AUTO ICE OFF control is canceled, it starts ice
release soon.)
HOW TO CANCEL (Enable)
Press [AUTO ICE OFF] button for 3 seconds
(beep)turn off the lamp.
4.10.5. Ice-making Test
The following tests can be confirmed operations of ICE MAKER
ASSY and PUMP MOTOR ASSY.
• ICE-MAKING TEST-1; For service engineer
It is possible to confirm by sight the operation of the Ice-
maker unit with IC door opened.
• ICE-MAKING TEST-2; For customer and service engineer
After starting test, operation is stopped temporarily when the
door is opened, then it will restart when the door is closed.
(For details, refer to “Test Mode”)
4.10.6. Inject tube heater control
The power control of the Inject tube heater is as follows.
• Compressor: ON.....100%
• Compressor: OFF.....100%
• When any of the following conditions are met,
Inject tube heater : OFF.....0%
- FC temperature: 7.5°C or above
- Ice release motor is working.
- Water supply motor is working.
4.11. Compressor Control
4.11.1. Rotational speed
According to changing compartment temperature, the motor
runs at the different speed. In normal, the motor runs at the
lower speed. (Energy saving & lower noise.)
When powerful cooling is required, motor runs at rapid speed.
4.11.2. Change of rotational speed range
For details, refer to “Service Mode”.
• Vibration inhibition mode
• Sound (noise) inhibition mode
*1 When the following all of conditions are met, Compressor
rotational speed is changed to R6.
• AT 34°C or above
•  {FRESH FREEZING} and {QUICK ICE MAKING} are operating
• Compartment temperature rises largely.
4.12. Waiting time control for Com-
pressor starting.
To restart the Compressor smoothly after Compressor stops
and after defrosting, it does not actuate the Compressor for cer-
tain period.
Caution
At once unplug, wait for 7 minutes, and then plug in.

4.13. Fan Motor (CT) Control in
Compressor room
The Fan motor (CT) is controlled for cooling the Compressor.
• Rotational speed of Fan motor changes on 4 degrees
according to rotational speed of the Compressor.
• If malfunction signal is detected for a second when Fan
motor turns on, the Fan motor has turned off for 2 minutes
and then it will turn on again.
• When malfunction signal is detected 10 times in a row, {H28}
is displayed in the Notice indicator (Fan motor (CT) is abnor-
mal).
When setting in SERVICE MODE during malfunction signal,
the voltage of Fan motor is turning on and off every 3 sec-
onds repeatedly.
• Even after the {H28} is displayed, it will return to normal con-
trol when the malfunction signal is not detected for 5 sec-
onds or above.
4.14. Fan Motor (FC) Control in
Freezer compartment
Fan motor (FC) is controlled to adjust the optimum temperature
and save energy.
• Rotational speed changes on 6 degrees according to rota-
tional speed of the Compressor.
• If malfunction signal is detected for 2 seconds when Fan
motor turns on, the Fan motor has turned off for 2 minutes
and then it will turn on again.
• When malfunction signal is detected 60 times in a row, {H29}
is displayed in the Notice indicator (Fan motor (FC) is abnor-
mal).
When setting in SERVICE MODE during malfunction signal,
the voltage of Fan motor is turning on and off every 3 sec-
onds repeatedly.
• Even after the {H29} is displayed, it will return to normal con-
trol when the malfunction signal is not detected for 5 sec-
onds or above.
• If one of the following conditions are met, {H38} is recorded
in the memory.
- After waiting for restarting compressor, it detects that the
rotational speed command signal is opened.
- There is a 30% or more disparity between command
speed and detection speed.
