ECO-NAVI Control
ECO-NAVI is operated automatically to save energy based on
usage volume of refrigerator (Change in the volume of storage
in the Refrigerator compartment (PC), Door opening and clos-
ing, or Brightness around the refrigerator).
4.7.1.
ECO-NAVI Mode
When the conditions are met, ECO-NAVI Lamp turns on and
ECO-NAVI Mode is started as follows.
• When passing approximately 5 minutes after ECO-NAVI
Lamp turns on, the brightness of lamp is lowered by half.
• It is operated to correct cooling temperature setting
(plus 1-2°C).
• Defrosting period is extended for 13-24 hours.
(Normal defrosting period : 13 hours)
4.7.1.1.
Preconditions
Following all of conditions are met.
*1. Except for Fine adjustment of temperature setting.
4.7.1.2.
Initiation conditions
Any one of following conditions are met.
4.7.1.3.
Termination conditions
If one of following conditions is met, it terminates the ECO-
NAVI (energy saving) operation and ECO-NAVI Lamp turns off.
4.7.1.4.
ECO-NAVI Lamp Disable
The ECO-NAVI Lamp can be turned off during ECO-NAVI oper-
ation.
HOW TO SET (Disable)

PC stored volume determination
control
After opening and closing the PC doors, Interior lamps (LED)
turn on in turn and light sensor detects the change in the vol-
ume of storage.
During detection, ECO-NAVI Lamp is flashing slowly depending
on the setting of temperature control.
1. Interior lamps (LED) operation
• The following operation starts in turn after opening and
closing the PC doors.
a. All of LED : OFF (0.9 sec)
b. Top LED : ON (2 sec) → OFF (0.8 sec)
c. Left side LED : ON (2 sec) → OFF (0.8 sec)
d. Right side LED : ON (2 sec) → OFF (0.8 sec)

2. ECO-NAVI Lamp operation
• All of following conditions are met, ECO-NAVI Lamp is
flashing 3 times and starts normal control.
• While determining the volume of storage in the Refriger-
ator compartment, ECO-NAVI Lamp is operated as fol-
lows.
a. During ECO-NAVI operation :
After ECO-NAVI Lamp flashes 3 times slowly, turn
on the lamp.
b. While all of preconditions for ECO NAVI control
are met :
After ECO-NAVI Lamp flashes 3 times slowly, turn
off the lamp.
c. While one of preconditions for ECO NAVI control
are not met :
ECO-NAVI Lamp do not flash (keep to turn off the
lamp).
• While setting in ECO NAVI Lamp Disable, the above-
mentioned ECO NAVI operation is not performed.
3. Stored volume determination
• It is determined the increase in the volume of storage by
the difference of stored volume values between this time
and last time.
• Stored volume values calculate based on the input volt-
age of Storage sensor while turning on each LED.
• If {H65} is recorded in the memory, Interior lamps (LED)
operation and ECO-NAVI Lamp operation are performed,
but stored volume determination is not performed.
Even though {H65} is recorded and it can be performed nor-
mally, it is determined the increase in the volume of storage.
4.7.3.
Extension of defrosting cycle con-
trol
4.7.3.1.
Learning function control
Defrosting period is extended for 13-24 hours.
(Normal defrosting period : 13 hours)
Forecast your lifestyle pattern, and operate the defrosting dur-
ing the ABSENT hours.
4.7.4.
Learning function
1. How to determine whether people are "ABSENT" in the
room.
• Based on the total number of door opening and closing
(IC, FC and PC door), determine people are "ABSENT"
or "PRESENT" in the room every hour.
2. How to determine the thermal loading.
Based on the total number of door opening and closing
(IC and FC door), detection of stored volume, and tem-
perature (FCC sensor and PCC sensor), determine the
thermal loading.
• When the above all of conditions are not met, it is deter-
mined "Minor thermal loading".
• When the above any one of conditions are met, it is
determined "Major thermal loading".
3. Data storage
The data has stored for the past 3 weeks.
• Old data will be overwritten by the fresh data in four
weeks.
• When the power is off, the data is deleted (reset).
4. Analyze lifestyle patterns
• Continuous ABSENT period
a. ECO-NAVI counts the number of door opening
and closing every hour for 3 weeks to judge each
hour as “PRESENT” or “ABSENT”.
b. Each hourly data is compared between 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd week in order to make weekly lifestyle pat-
tern data which consists of 168 hourly data.
c. If there are two or three “ABSENT” in the same
hour of the same day for 3 weeks, the hour is
assumed to be “ABSENT ZONE”.
d. If “ABSENT ZONE” continues more than 3 times in
the lifestyle pattern data, the period is assumed to
be “Continuous ABSENT period”
• Minor thermal loading period
a. ECO-NAVI memorizes the data (the number of
door opening and closing, etc) every hour for 3
weeks to judge each hour as "Major thermal load-
ing" or "Minor thermal loading".
b. Each hourly data is compared between 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd week in order to make weekly lifestyle pat-
tern data which consists of 168 hourly data.
c. If there are two or three "Minor thermal loading" in
the same hour of the same day for 3 weeks, the
hour is assumed to be “Minor thermal loading
zone”.
d. If “Minor thermal loading zone” continues more
than 3 times in the lifestyle pattern data, the period
is assumed to be “Minor thermal loading period”
