Removal of the Optical pickup unit
The
Optical
pickup unit
contains the
Optical Pickup,
a
Laser Diode
which is highly
sensitive to
ESD.
Be sure to
observe
ESD
precautions.

Removal of the Optical pickup unit
Cover the lens
of the optical
pickup with a
post-it note
making sure
the adhesive is
not put directly
on the lens.
This will protect
the lens from
any contact
during
handling.

Removal of the Optical pickup unit
Place a solder bead
between the two
exposed
conductors
on the ribbon cable
that connects to
CN101
.
