FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES
This unit is equipped with a SBM (Super Bit Mapping) recording function capable of 20-bit high quality recording with
the use of a pulse A/D converter and SBM digital filter, analog input function with a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz
which can be used for a CD production direct master tape, and a variety of sub code functions such as writing, erasure,
and renumbering of start ID and skip ID.
In addition, a 4D.D. (direct drive) motor mechanism with increase stability and durability of the tape path is mounted.
For the PCM-2800, a 4-head drum capable of simultaneous monitor playback during recording is also mounted.

Recording Mode
This unit is equipped with the conventional 48k mode (standard), 32k•LP mode (option 2) as well as a 44k mode for
recording in the same format as CDs by analog input. This enables DAT tapes recorded by this unit to be used as the
master when making CDs, etc.
