ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS
D-1
1. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
Read and perform these adjustments when repairing the
circuits or replacing electrical parts or PCB assemblies.
On-Screen Display Adjustment
1.

Set the VOLUME to minimum.
Press the VOL. DOWN button on the set and the
channel button (9) on the remote control for more than
2 seconds to display adjustment mode on the screen as
shown in Fig. 1-1.

Use the Channel UP/DOWN button or Channel button
(0-9) on the remote control to select the options shown
in Fig. 1-2.
Press the MENU button on the remote control to end the
adjustments.
To display the adjustment screen for TUNER, EXT1,
EXT2, EXT3, Component, HDMI1, HDMI2 and PC
mode, press the         button on the remote control.
Press the VOL.DOWN button on the set and the channel
(9) on the remote control for more than 2 seconds.
Receive the DIGITAL broadcasting.
To display the adjustment screen for DTV mode, press
the DTV/TV button on the remote control.
Press the VOL.DOWN button on the set and the channel
(9) on the remote control for more than 2 seconds.

CAUTION
Use an isolation transformer when performing any
service on this chassis.
When removing a PCB or related component, after
unfastening or changing a wire, be sure to put the wire
back in its original position.
When you exchange IC and Transistor with a heat sink,
apply silicon grease (YG6260M) on the contact section of
the heat sink. Before applying new silicon grease,
remove all the old silicon grease. (Old grease may cause
damages to the IC and Transistor).
Prepare the following measurement tools for electrical
adjustments.
1. Patterm Generator

Place the set in Aging Test for more than 15 minutes.
Receive the gray scale pattern from the Pattern
Generator.
Press the        button on the remote control to set to the
EXT mode.
Using the remote control, set the brightness and contrast
to normal position.
Activate the adjustment mode display of Fig. 1-2 and
press the channel button (05) on the remote control to
select “G DRIVE (M)”.
Press the UP/DOWN button on the remote control to
select the “G CUTOFF (M)”, “B DRIVE (M)”, “B CUTOFF
(M)”, “G DRIVE (H)”, “G CUTOFF (H)”, “B DRIVE (H)”, “B
CUTOFF (H)”, “G DRIVE (L)”, “G CUTOFF (L)”, “B
DRIVE (L)” or “B CUTOFF (L)”.
Adjust the RIGHT/LEFT button on the remote control to
whiten the G CUTOFF (M), B DRIVE (M), B CUTOFF (M),
G DRIVE (H), G CUTOFF (H), B DRIVE (H), B CUTOFF
(H), G DRIVE (L), G CUTOFF (L), B DRIVE (L) and B
CUTOFF (L) at each step tone sections equally.
Perform the above adjustments 6 and 7 until the white
color is looked like a white.

Using the remote control, set the brightness and
contrast to normal position.
Press the        button on the remote control to set to
the EXT1 mode.
Press the LEFT/RIGTH button on the remote control
until the contrast step No. becomes "42".
Check if the picture is normal.
Receive the color bar pattern. (VIDEO2 Input)
Using the remote control, set the brightness and
contrast to normal position.
Press the        button on the remote control to set to
the EXT2 mode.
Press the LEFT/RIGTH button on the remote control
until the contrast step No. becomes "42".
Receive the color bar pattern. (VIDEO3 Input)
Using the remote control, set the brightness and
contrast to normal position.
Press the        button on the remote control to set to
the EXT3 mode.
Press the LEFT/RIGTH button on the remote control
until the contrast step No. becomes "42".
Receive the color bar pattern. (AV RGB Input)
Using the remote control, set the brightness and
contrast to normal position.
Press the        button on the remote control to set to
the Component mode.
Press the LEFT/RIGTH button on the remote control
until the contrast step No. becomes "43".
Receive the color bar pattern. (S-VIDEO Input)
Using the remote control, set the brightness and
contrast to normal position.
Press the        button on the remote control to set to
the HDMI mode.
Press the LEFT/RIGTH button on the remote control
until the contrast step No. becomes "39".
Check if the picture is normal.
