ROTATE
Set the orientation of the picture.
When you press ROTATE the current mode
displays. While the indicator displays, each time
you press the button it will change as follows:

DTV
Switch from the Digital-TV mode and other input
source.
For example, when viewing an image from AV2,
press DTV to switch to the Digital-TV mode. Press
DTV again to return to AV2 screen.

DTV mode: The coloured buttons are used to
select correspondingly to the coloured items in

Turning on and off the main power
Switching the TV/VIDEO (TV/DTV/AV1/AV2/AV3) mode
Turn on the power of the connected video
equipment.
Press b to select the applicable input
source. The screen displays AV1, AV2 or TV
mode each time b is pressed.

NOTE
• About the video modes
TV: Select this when viewing analogue TV broadcasts.
DTV: Select this when viewing digital TV broadcasts.
AV1 and 2: Select this when viewing the signals
from the video equipment connected to
the AV-IN 1 and 2 terminals.
AV3: Select this when viewing the signals
from the video equipment connected to
the AV-IN 3 terminals using the VIDEO
or S-VIDEO terminal for video input.
• If both VIDEO and S-VIDEO terminals are connected
with cables, the S-VIDEO input terminal is selected as
the high priority.
Listening with headphones
■ Plug the headphone mini-plug into the headphone jack located on the front of the TV set.
NOTE
• Headphones are not included in the supplied accessories.
• Even if a headphone mini-plug is connected to the headphone jack, sound can be heard from the main unit speaker.

Changing channels
You can select channels using 0-9 or CH a/b.
• To handle the increasing number of channels available, this LCD TV set allows you
to select up to 200 channels (0 to 199).
Using CH a/b
Press CH a and the channels change in the order shown below:
→ 2 → 3 → . . . → 198 → 199 → 0 → 1 → 2 → 3 → . . .
Press CH b and the channels change in the order shown below:
→ 2 → 1 → 0 → 199 → 198 →  . . . → 3 → 2 → 1 → . . .
NOTE
• Channel “0” is prepared for RF output of VCR.
• Complete this procedure within 3 seconds, otherwise the selection will not be made on the 2-
digit channel mode.
When viewing Teletext information
View a page directly which is 3-digit page number from 100 to 899 by pressing
buttons 0 to 9.
Sound volume
To adjust the volume
| Press ik to increase the sound volume. The
numerical value increases.
| Press il to decrease the sound volume. The
numerical value decreases.
To mute the sound
| Press e (Mute) to temporarily turn off the sound.
“Sound off” is displayed.
| Press e (Mute) to turn off the Mute function.
“Sound on” is displayed.
NOTE
• When Volume i (k/l) is pressed in the Mute mode,
the sound turns on and the volume indicator is displayed.
• The Mute function is cancelled when B is pressed.

Using 0 – 9 on the remote control unit
Select the channels directly by pressing buttons 0 to 9.
When selecting the channel using 0 to 9, finish inputting the channel number by
holding down the button for the last digit for a moment.

To select a 1-digit channel (e.g. channel 2):
• Press the button.
To select a 2-digit channel (e.g. channel 12):
• Press 1, followed by 2.
• When you enter the channel, a 3-digit input underbar appears in digital TV mode
and a 2-digit in analogue TV mode.
Once you input a channel it is set after a few moments if there are no other
operations. Or press OK to set immediately after input.
