When you click Next the following screen will appear:  
 

 

Type in the name of where you wish the Print-Auditor Wizard to 
place the required Thin Client Agent files i.e.

You can now select to create login scripts, an e-mail message or 
both from the final screen for the deployment method to the 9x 
machines.  

Login scripts are created on the machine running TCA Installer and 
must be copied to the login script folder for the correct OS, see the 
table below. Login scripts must also be setup in the profile section of 
the user’s account.

NOTE: The shared folder to which the installation files will be copied 
must to be setup prior to the installation. 
 
NOTE: When the software is being remotely installed using Login 
scripts, the installation will automatically reboot machines running 
Windows 9x as required. 

If you chose to create an e-mail message, your default e-mail client 
will open and a new mail message will be created with a link to your

deployment folder. Edit this e-mail to be sent to all Windows 9x 
users. There is an example name entered but you will need to enter 
the correct addresses.

Note: this will only run from a 9X workstation. 
 
1.  Firstly create a shared directory on the server to enable the 

software to be deployed. 

 

• 

\\NT_SERVER\DEPLOY for Windows 

• 

\\NOVELL\SYS\PUBLIC\DEPLOY for Novell 

 
 
Back on the workstation; 
 
2. 

Select application PA Thin Client Agent Setup 9x.exe 

 

 

 
3. 

The application is a self-extracting zip file and so you will be 
prompted to extract the file to a hard drive location or run 
WinZip.  Choose which option you prefer and then, click on 
the icon PA Thin Client Agent.exe. 

 

 

 
You will now be prompted to confirm whether or not you wish to install 
the script version of the administration tool. 

 

4. Select 

Yes to continue or No to cancel the installation 

 
5. When 

selecting 

Yes you will be taken to the Welcome Screen 

and advised to close all other applications while you are 
installing the software.
