This is to notify the precautions that you must take when installing the keyboard unit MX-

KBX1/KBX2. 

The connection of the USB hub PWB must be enabled in advance when this PWB is 

installed with the keyboard unit MX-KBX1/KBX2. To enable this connection, you 
must set the DIP switches (SW1 and SW2) on the MFP PWB to "default status". 

 

Setting of DIP switches on MFP PWB: 

SW1 : OFF   SW2 : OFF 

Note that if the above DIP switches are set to other statuses, the keyboard unit 
MX-KBX1/ 
KBX2 does not work. 

(Reference information) 

1. USB ports usable when the keyboard unit MX-KBX1/KBX2 is installed 

You can use the USB port on the front frame side or on the rear frame side. 
(Do not simultaneously connect the USB ports on the front frame side and on 

the rear frame side.) 

2. USB ports usable when the keyboard units MX-KBX1/KBX2 is not installed 

You must set whether to use the USB port on the front frame side or on the 
rear frame side with the DIP switches (SW1 and SW2) on the MFP PWB. 
As required, switch and use the USB ports according to the following table:
