(8) Attach the paper feed tray
1)
Attach the paper feed tray to the slide rail, and fix by the screw.
2)
Connect the connector into the back side of the paper feed
tray. Attach the earth wire and the binding band, and fix by the
screw. 
3)
Close the paper feed tray.
4)
Attach the right cabinet, and fix by the screw.
L. Operation check after installation
1)
Turn on the dehumidifier heater switch.
2)
Measure the resistance value between the earth terminal and
the AC terminal (L side), and between the earth terminal and
AC terminal (N side) with the circuit tester, and confirm they
are not short-circuited.
MEMO: For 200V system other than North America, there are
two AC cords. For checking with a tester, use the cord in the
left side when viewed from the rear.
3)
When not using the heater after checking, turn off the dehu-
midifier heater switch.

Since the illustrations of the former models are used, they may differ from the actual cases.
NOTE: When installing the MX-LC12, lower the adjusters of the machine to the floor.
NOTE: When the MX-LC12 is installed, first install the MX-MF10.
1.  Unpacking
A. Remove the packing material and packing tape
B. Packed items check
2.  Installation
NOTE: Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and
main power switches off and disconnect the power plug
from the power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp
on the operation panel does not light up or blink when per-
forming installation.
A. Release the lock
1)
Remove the paper feed desk fixing screw.
NOTE: Before turning on the power, check to insure that the fixing
screw of the tray is removed. If the power is turned on with-
out removing the fixing screw, a trouble may be resulted.
B. Attach the mounting plate upper and the lower 
front/rear connecting plate
1)
Attach the mounting plate upper (Packed items) with the fixing
screw A (Packed items) to the installation part of right side of
the main unit. When installing, put the rubber section (
) of
the mounting plate upper on the lower side.
2)
Remove the fixing screws of the front/rear cover on the lower
part of the main unit. Attach the connecting plate lower front
(Packed items) to the lower front side of the main unit with the
fixing screw B (Packed items).
Attach the connecting plate lower rear (Packed items) to the
lower rear side of the main unit with the fixing screw B (Packed
items).
NOTE: Remove the front and rear covers, then remove the
screws (in the rear side only) as shown in the figure
below. (The removed screws are not used.)
3)
Remove the fixing screws (2 pcs.) of the machine entry port,
and remove the entry port cover.
4)
Reverse the entry port cover and re-attach it to the machine.
Secure it with the two previously removed screws in procedure
3).
NOTE: Be careful not to make a scratch for the paper pass
surface of entrance cover at the installation.

C. Connection of the main unit and the large 
capacity tray unit
1)
Hold the grips of the front and the rear cabinets with both
hands, and lift the left side.
2)
Hang the metal fixture of the large capacity tray on the lower
front/rear connecting plate of the main unit side. Push the large
capacity tray onto the main unit and attach it.
To confirm that the large capacity tray is locked into place pull
it in the direction of the arrow as shown.
NOTE: If lock is incomplete, when the power switch is turned
on, the message, “Check installation of tray 5” is dis-
played on the operation panel.
NOTE: Push the large capacity tray onto the machine, and
lock it securely.
NOTE: When lifting the LCC, insert fingers firmly into the grip sec-
tions of the front and rear cabinets and install slowly.
NOTE: Turn the lock release screw of the front cover counterclock-
wise to loosen and check that the screw is free.
* If the screw is tight at that time, installation will be incom-
plete.
(1) How to separate the large capacity tray from the 
main unit
1)
Turn the lock release screw of the front cover clockwise and
tighten the screw securely to release lock.
2)
Then hold the grips of the front and the rear cabinets with both
hands, and lift the left side. The large capacity tray will come
off.

D. Adjusting the casters
1)
After installing the large capacity tray to the main unit, loosen
the screws (one in the front and one in the rear) of the adjust-
ment caster mounting plate attached to the lower side of the
large capacity tray.
At that time, the casters of the adjustment caster mounting
plate are brought into contact with the floor by the spring force.
2)
Tighten the screws (one in the front and one in the rear) of the
caster mounting plate which were loosened in procedure 1).
E. Connector connection
1)
Remove the fixing screw from the connector cover on the main
unit and then remove the connector cover.
2)
Connect the large capacity tray interface harness connector to
the main unit connector, and tighten the connector screw to fix
the connector.
F. Paper size switch
(1) Paper size switch from A4 to LT
Since the factory setting of the paper size is A4 or LT, if paper size
switch is required, perform the following procedures.
1)
Pull out the large capacity tray until it stops.
2)
Loosen the stopper fixing screw (1 pc.) on the lower right side
of the paper feed tray to disable the stopper function.
3)
Then pull out the paper feed tray again until it stops.
