Description
Support for new
standards of the
International Energy
Star program
The criteria change of the International Energy Star program involves the following changes:
(1) In the destination setting (Sim26-6), the factory default values for the function of
preheating or auto power shutoff have been changed.

(2) A change has been made so that fusing FAN rotation is continued even during preheating.
(3) A change has been made so that fusing FAN rotation is continued for a predetermined
time even after switching to power shutoff.

Notes:
Updating to this version does not involve any change of the setting value for the MFP
printer.
The time required for the function of preheating and auto power shutoff to be active will
be reset to the factory default value as described above; when a system administrator
performs the operation of saving and/or calling system settings and then resets to the
factory default value, or when “destination change (Sim26-6)” is implemented.
2 UI-related
"As shown when printed" has been changed to "Fit to storage size" in "document file
setting"
 "Various Settings"
"Card Scan Standard Setting" of System Settings
(administrator privileges).
3 UI-related
The one touch key displayed in Customers may disappear if the system returns from 1W
night mode when the default of the basic screen for fax/image transmission is set to
"Address Book" and another one touch key is also registered in Customers. This glitch
has been corrected.
4 Authentication-related
Input of the authentication key and privacy key may be prompted despite the fact that the
setting of SNMP v3 is invalid in WEB page setting change. This glitch has been corrected.
Main body control-related
If the mounted USB memory is pulled out during restarting after simulation with the restart
function is released, LCD screen display may become unstable depending on the timing.
This glitch has been corrected.
Main body control-related
F6-00 may occur if the main body returns from power-on mode or 1W night mode N hours
and 5 minutes (N: 0, 1, 2, 3,…) after from power-off mode or 1W night mode. This glitch
has been corrected. If this trouble code occurs in power-on mode, a power on/off request
message is displayed on the LCD of the main body. The symptom is recovered when the
power is turned off/on. If this trouble code occurs during FAX reception in 1W night mode,
the symptom is recovered when the destination FAX is recalled.

Description
Main body control-related
It may be that the when device cloning data for copy job program setting output by the
MX-2300/MX2700 Series is read, an error occurs and the subsequent data is skipped.
This glitch has been corrected.
Main body control-related
If the power is turned off/on after an adjustment error occurred during automatic execution
of automatic resist adjustment, resist misalignment may occur. This glitch has been corrected.
Main body control-related
Paper feed operation has been improved to cope with the paper feed/vertical feed jam
and W feed jam.
10 Printer-related
Data after the EOI (End of Image) marker in JPEG data of the pasted image may not be
printed because a PCL-XL error occurs as incorrect data. This glitch has been corrected
so that data after the EOI marker is ignored.
11 Printer-related
If LPD:"banner use" is enabled in WEB page network setting, printing may stop when the
number of the jobs is close to 1,000. This glitch has been corrected.
12 Printer-related
A watermark may turn into garbled because some parts of the macro processing sections
for watermark processing cannot be processed correctly. This glitch has been corrected.
13 Printer-related
If data is printed with the paper size set to "custom" and print mode set to "high-definition"
after the standard resolution of printer environment setting is set to "600 dpi" in system
setting or on a WEB page (the standard resolution is factory-set to "600 dpi (high-quality)",
an incorrect page size may be used, the print position may be displaced, or a blank page
may be produced. This glitch has been corrected.
14 Printer-related
The printing system that does not use any printer driver sometimes returned a
development code name from the MFP main body to the PC. The system has been
changed so that it returns a model name instead of the development code name.
15 Printer-related
The next job may result in a PCL XL error when it receives an invalid XL file without job end.
This glitch has been corrected.
16 Printer-related
When copying the character string specified in PJL, the memory occasionally corrupts
because the buffer size is small, resulting in incomplete printing from MacOS 10.5.6. This
glitch has been corrected.
17 Printer-related
If ESC/P raster data (barcode data) exists at the end of the page, the data cannot be
registered in the page buffer correctly because the page end processing is performed
before the final raster data processing. If the data cannot be registered in the page buffer
correctly, barcodes may not be printed correctly. This glitch has been corrected.
18 Printer-related
If the character string reference pointer is not initialized in character string comparison for
automatic discrimination of PDL data, an incorrect address may be accessed and, in rare
cases, the MFP main body may be restarted during printing. This glitch has been
corrected so that the pointer is initialized under all conditions.
