AUTO COOK / AUTO DEFROST
enables you to cook or defrost those foods listed on
the control panel of the microwave oven.
For more details, see the AUTO COOK /DEFROST
chart on page 12.

Press AUTO COOK/DEFROST key until the 
number corresponding to the food listed on 
the control panel appears in the display.

Enter the weight or quantity.

To start cooking press  the START/AUTO 
MINUTE

key.

1. In the example given here, AUTO COOK/

DEFROST key is pressed 4 times to select Pizza
(AC-4) from the Auto Cook menu.

2. Enter the weight by pressing the 

1 min key five times.

3. Press the START/AUTO MINUTE key once to

start cooking. The display will count down through
the cooking time.

NOTES:
•  As recommended for using the PLUS or LESS

function in the chart on page 12, press the AUTO
COOK/DEFROST key immediately before
pressing START/AUTO MINUTE key. Refer to
page 13.

•  The oven will display the error message (E E) if

you input a weight which is outside the range
given in the table on page 12.

Weight Range:
Food weight should be rounded up or down to the nearest 0.1kg. eg. 0.65kg to 0.7kg. You are restricted
to enter a weight within the range given (see chart on page 12). To cook/defrost weights below or above
that range, refer to the charts in the SHARP Cookbook.

• Place meat in a flan dish on the low rack.
• Turn meat over when the oven indicates.
• After cooking, leave meat to stand wrapped in aluminium foil for

10 minutes.

NOTE: Use the PLUS function for meat which is well done and the
LESS function (for beef/lamb only) for meat which is rare. It is not
possible to use the LESS function for pork.

• Place poultry breast side down in a flan dish on the low rack.
• As above point 2.
• As above point 3.
NOTE: It is not possible to use the LESS function for poultry.

• Place the pizza on the high rack.
• Stand for 2-3 minutes after cooking.

• Place in a flan dish on the high rack.
• Turn over when the oven indicates.
• Stand for 2-3 minutes after cooking.
NOTE: Use the PLUS function for frozen crispy crumb foods.

• Place in a flan dish on the high rack.
• Turn over when the oven indicates.
NOTE: Use the LESS function for French Fried oven chips.

Auto defrost: If necessary, small pieces of
aluminium foil can be used to shield small areas of
meat/poultry if they become warm during defrosting.
Ensure foil does not touch oven walls. 
Do not cook meat/poultry until thoroughly defrosted.

Auto cook: All menus use microwave power and
grill during cooking.

When action is required (example to turn food over) the oven stops and the audible signals sound, the
remaining cooking time and any indicator will flash on the display. To continue cooking, press the start/auto
minute pad.

The final temperature will vary according to the initial food temperature. Check food is piping hot after cooking.
If necessary, you can extend the cooking time and change the power level.

2.   LESS AND PLUS:
The LESS and PLUS function allows you to cook food more or less than the preset automatic programmes. For
example, if you prefer beef which is rare, or if you prefer beef well done. To select LESS or PLUS, press the
AUTO COOK/DEFROST key after entering the weight. When pressing the AUTO COOK/DEFROST key
once, PLUS function will be selected. When pressing the AUTO COOK/DEFROST key twice, LESS function
will be selected. When pressing the AUTO COOK/DEFROST key 3 times, PLUS/LESS function will be
cancelled.

Note: LESS and PLUS can only be used with automatic programmes.

Example: To cook using Auto Cook Roast Pork, weighing 1.0kg for a ‘well done’ result.

DEFROST once to select ‘PLUS’.

A sequence of 3 stages (maximum) can be programmed using combinations of MICROWAVE, GRILL or
DUAL GRILL.

• To programme a series of sequences: Input the cooking time followed by the desired cooking mode. 
• Repeat this procedure twice, to a maximum of three sequences.
• Finally, press START/AUTO MINUTE to start sequence cooking.

4. Press START.

NOTE: If you require beef ‘rare’ press AUTO COOK/DEFROST key twice at stage three above.  
The display will show ‘LESS’.

AUTO MINUTE enables you to cook on 100P (HIGH) microwave power in 
multiples of 1 minute, by pressing the START /AUTO MINUTE key.

Example:
To cook on 100P (HIGH)  for 2 minutes, press the START/AUTO MINUTE key twice.
AUTO MINUTE enables you to extend cooking time in multiples of 1 minute during cooking.

NOTE: To avoid misuse by children the START/AUTO MINUTE key can be used only within 1 minute after
preceding operation, i.e. closing the door or pressing the STOP/CLEAR key.

To check the microwave power level during cooking press the MICRO/GRILL/DUAL key. As  long as your
finger is touching the MICRO/GRILL/DUAL key the power level will be displayed. The oven continues to
count down although the display will show the power level.
