WEIGHT RANGE
COOKING PROCEDURE
Fresh Fish
150g, 300g, 450g
•  Arrange in a single layer in a large flan dish, cover dish
(whole fillets, steaks)
tightly with microwave cling film and pierce in several
places. Place on the turntable.
• After cooking, leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Minced Meat
250g, 500g, 750g,1kg
• Place minced meat into a bowl.
• Place on the turntable.
• Do not cover
• Stir when the oven indicates.
• Stand for 2 minutes after cooking
NOTE: It is not possible to use the LESS function for minced
meat.
Fresh Vegetables
150g, 300g, 450g
• Place the prepared vegetables into a casserole dish. 
• Add 1 tbsp of water per 100g of vegetables.
• Cover with microwave cling film and pierce in 5 places.
• Place on the turntable.
• Stand for 2 minutes before serving. 
Jacket Potatoes
1, 2, 3 or 4 pieces
• Pierce each potato in several places, place towards the
(1 potato = app. 250g)
edge of the turntable.
• Stand for 2-3 minutes.
Boiled Potatoes
250g, 500g, 750g, 1kg
• Peel and cut the potatoes into evenly sized pieces.
• Place into a casserole dish.
• Add 2 tbsp of water per 100g of potatoes.
• Cover with microwave cling film.
• Place on the turntable.
• Stir when oven indicates.
• Stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Rice / Pasta
100g, 200g, 300g
• Add 300ml (1/2 pint) boiling water per 100g (4oz) rice. 
• Do not cover.
• Stir when oven indicates.
• Stand for 3-4 minutes before draining and rinsing in
boiling water.
Canned Food
200g, 400g, 600g, 800g • Place the contents of the can into a casserole dish.
eg: Baked beans,
• Cover with microwave cling film.
Chilli, Curry,
• Place on the turntable.
Soup, Stew.
• Stir when oven indicates.
• After cooking, stir and stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Sponge Pudding
1 piece
• Lightly grease a 1.2L PYREX pudding basin with
(1 piece = app. 400g)
margarine. Spoon the jam into the bottom of the basin.
100g margarine
• Cream together the margarine and sugar until light and
100g caster sugar
fluffy
2 eggs (medium)
• Beat in the eggs. Fold in the flour and finally stir in the
100g self raising flour
water.
1 tbsp (15ml) water
• Spoon the mixture into the basin and smooth (do not cover)
3 tbsp (45ml) jam
• Place the basin in the centre of the turntable.
• After cooking stand for 2 minutes.
Cake
700g, 1000g
• Prepare the cake referring to the recipes on pages 48-49.
• Place the prepared dish on the turntable.
• Stand for approx. 10 minutes after cooking.
• Remove the cake from the dish.

AUTO COOK/AUTO DEFROST
AUTO COOK / DEFROST:
Enables you to cook or defrost those foods listed on the control
panel, of the microwave oven, or for more details, see the
AUTO COOK / DEFROST chart on pages 13.
HOW TO OPERATE AUTO COOK / AUTO DEFROST:
• Press the AUTO COOK or AUTO DEFROST key until the
number corresponding to the food listed on the control panel
appears in the display.
Example:
1. In the example given here, the AUTO COOK key is
pressed once to select the first item, Roast Beef/Lamb. The
display shows AC-1.
• Enter the weight.
WEIGHT RANGE:
Food weight should be rounded up to the nearest 0.1kg or 1oz,
for example, 0.65 kg to 0.7 kg.
You are restricted to enter a weight within the range given (see
chart on page 13). 
To cook/defrost weights below or above that range,
or foods not included in the AUTO COOK / DEFROST
function refer to the charts on page 28-35.
NOTE:
• Your oven comes set for kg/g mode. For converting to lb/oz,
see weight conversion on page 17 and the conversion charts
on page 27.
• If an incorrect weight range is entered when using the AUTO
COOK/AUTO DEFROST function, “EE” will be displayed.
To erase, press the STOP/CLEAR key.
2. In the example, 1.5 kg is entered by pressing the WEIGHT
keys.
3. Press the START/AUTO MINUTE key to start cooking.
NOTE:
•  As recommended in the chart on the following page, select
the LESS/MORE function before pressing START/AUTO
MINUTE 
key (see page 14).
When action is required (example, to turn food over) the oven
stops and the audible signals sound, the remaining cooking
time and any indicator will flash on the display. To continue
cooking press the START/AUTO MINUTE key.
• The final temperature will vary according to the initial food
temperature. Check food is piping hot after cooking. If
necessary, you can extend the cooking time and change the
power level.

AD-1. Meat joint
0.6kg - 1.8kg
• Place meat in a flan dish on the turntable.
Beef/Lamb/Pork
• Turn over when audible signal sounds.
• Stand, wrapped in foil, for 45-90 minutes until  defrosted. 
AD-2. Poultry
1.2kg - 1.8kg
• Place poultry breast side down in a flan dish on the turntable.
• Turn over when audible signal sounds.
• Stand, wrapped in foil, for 45-90 minutes until evenly defrosted.
AD-3. Chicken Portions,
0.3kg - 1.2kg
• Place portion breast side down in a flan dish on the turntable.
Steaks, chops
• Turn over when audible signal sounds.
• Stand, wrapped in foil, for 15-30 minutes until evenly defrosted.
AD-4. Minced Meat
0.2kg - 1.0kg
• Place minced meat in a flan dish.
Beef/Lamb/Pork
• When audible signal sounds turn over and rearrange.
Poultry
• Stand for 5 minutes after defrosting if required.
AD-5. Bread
0.1kg - 0.8kg
• Place directly on the turntable.
• When audible signal sounds turn over and rearrange.
• Stand for 5 minutes.

AUTO COOK / AUTO DEFROST CHART
Defrost: If necessary, shield small areas of meat or poultry with flat pieces of aluminium foil. This will prevent the areas from
becoming warm during defrosting. Ensure the foil does not touch the oven walls. Do not cook the meat or poultry
until thoroughly defrosted.

• Place meat in a flan dish on the turntable.
• Turn meat over when the audible signal sounds.
• After cooking, leave meat to stand wrapped in aluminium
foil for 10 minutes.
NOTE: Select LESS for rare. Select MORE for well done.
AC-2. Roast Pork
0.6kg - 1.8kg
• Place meat in a flan dish on the turntable.
• Turn meat over when the audible signal sounds.
• After cooking, leave meat to stand wrapped in aluminium
foil for 10 minutes.
NOTE: It is not possible to use the LESS function for pork.
AC-3. Roast Poultry
1.2kg - 1.8kg
• Place poultry breast side down in a flan dish on the 
turntable.
• Turn poultry over when the audible signal sounds.
• After cooking, leave poultry to stand wrapped in foil for  10 minutes
NOTE: It is not possible to use the LESS function for poultry.
AC-4. Chicken Portions
1 - 4 pieces
• Place the chicken portions breast side down in a flan 
1 piece = 300g
dish on the turntable.
• Turn over when the audible signal sounds.
• After cooking, cover with aluminium foil and stand for 5 minutes.
NOTE: It is not possible to use the LESS function for chicken 
portions.
AC-5. Casserole
0.5kg - 1.5kg
• Place the casserole in the dish and cover with lid.

The LESS (

) function allows you to cook food for more or less time than the preset
programmes.
For Example: If you prefer Jacket Potatoes which are cooked but still crisp, or beef which is rare, use the
LESS (      ) key. The display will show “LESS”. Alternatively, if you prefer Jacket Potatoes softer or beef
well done, use the MORE (
) key. The display will show “PLUS”.
Guide for using LESS (
) and MORE (
) with instant cook/automatic programmes:
• INSTANT COOK: Press the INSTANT COOK key then immediately press the LESS (
)
/MORE (      ) key.
• AUTO COOK/AUTO DEFROST: Press the LESS (
)/MORE (      ) key before pressing the
START/AUTO MINUTE key.
NOTE: To cancel LESS (      )/MORE (      ), simply press the same key again.
Guide for use of LESS (
) and MORE (      ) during manual oven operation:
To alter cooking or defrosting time whilst oven is in operation, use LESS (      ) or MORE (      ).
Press the LESS (      ) or MORE (      ) key to decrease or increase the cooking or defrosting time in
multiples of 1 minute. The overall cooking time can be increased to a maximum of 99 minutes.
