Voiding a Mistake
If at any stage in the transaction you realise you have made a mistake, it is easy
to correct that mistake.
If you know how the item was PUT IN, then it is easy to TAKE OUT.
If the item was SCANNED in, first PRESS the VOID BUTTON, then if you
have a hand held scanner, hold the bar code on the item up to the “mouth” of the
scanner.
If you have the upright scanner, hold the bar code on the item anywhere in front
of the scanner.
When the bar code registers, you will hear a BLEEP, and you will see that the
item will have been taken out of the transaction.
If the item was PUT IN with a HOT KEY, first PRESS the VOID KEY, then
PRESS the HOT KEY that inputted it in the first place.
You will see on the screen that item will have then been taken out of the
transaction.
If the item was put in using a DEPARTMENT, first PRESS the VOID KEY,
the TYPE in the PRICE, or WEIGHT amount using the NUMBER KEYS,
then the DEPARTMENT KEY.

Voiding a Transaction
To cancel an entire transaction, first PRESS the TRX VOID KEY.
The system will ask for a MANAGER KEYFLICK to POS 2.
INSERT a manager’s key into the key slot, then REMOVE the key.
All details from that transaction will clear from the screen.

Refunding an Item
If you need to refund an item, then it is easy to do so. Before the start of a
transaction, press REFUND, then scan the item. Press SUBTOTAL, then press
the tender type with which the refund was made.

If you need to refund more than one item, then it is also easy to do so. Before
the start of a transaction, press REFUND, then scan the items which you wish
to refund. Press SUBTOTAL, then press the tender type with which the refund
was made.
