When the files have been restored

Reboot the pos with dip switch 5 on connect a Qwerty keyboard to the Pos
when prompted with Command waiting …

Press escape to abort and then choose exit from the menu, this will drop the pos into
a dos prompt a: From this prompt type sys c: followed by enter the message system
transferred should now be displayed .

Switch the pos off and set dip switch 3 on so that both dip switch 3 and 5 are on,
Power on the pos.

Enter 1 for standalone or 2 of a networked machine.

Enter the node id (ie 001) and the pos will reboot automatically into the application.

CONNECT THE APLD CABLE  FROM THE PC TO THE POS
(for cable specification see section 17)

SET DIP SWITCH 4 and 5 on AND ALL OTHER SWITCHES OFF

REBOOT THE POS

PRESS ESCAPE WHEN PROMPTED WITH COMMAND WAITING. AND CHOOSE
EXIT.

Type INTERSVR form the A: prompt on the Pos

Select the Pos Serial backup icon from START menu PROGRAMS

This will reboot the pc into dos into the following directory C:\UP5700.BAK
To restore the demo program into the Pos type the following from the
C:\UP5700.BAK directory.
5700BAKA UP5700.PAK

Select 2 for Restore.

Select option 2 for Hard Disk

Select 1 to continue

Select 1 to continue

Select 1  for OK

If using Hard Disk ensure dip switch 3 is OFF. And dip switch 4 and 5 are ON.

If using PSRAM  ensure dip switch 3 is OFF. And dip switch 5 is ON

Reboot the POS and type INTERSVR form the A: prompt on the Pos

To Backup an application select the Pos Serial backup icon from START menu
PROGRAMS

This will reboot the pc into dos into the following directory C:\UP5700.BAK
To restore the demo program into the Pos type the following from the
C:\UP5700.BAK directory.
5700BAKA XXXXXXX where XXXXXXX is the name of the backup program folder.

Select 1 for backup.
