1. Turn Off the Mains Power
2. Set the SRV (RESET) Switch on the side to the “ON” position as shown.
3. Hold down the “Receipt Feed” and the Key below the Receipt Feed key as shown
below.

4. Holding down the above 2 keys, Power on the Machine whilst switching
the SRV (RESET) Switch to the OFF position.

5. The UP-800 display should now show “IPL from Serial I/O”
6. Connect the APLD CABLE (see cable section for spec) to the PC and to Channel 2 on the
UP-800.

7. Start POS Utility Tool Version 4 and use the Add files button to locate the required ROM.
8. Select Send to start the IPL download.
9. When the transfer is complete Turn the UP-800 Off and On.

1. Turn Off the Mains Power
2. Remove the Top Cabinet
3. Locate and set the Jumper switch SP1 to position 1 and 2
4. Fit the ROM board to J11
5. Turn On Power
6. IPL will Start
7. When completed Switch off the machine and wait for 1 minute
8. Set the Jumper switch SP1 to position 2 and 3
9. Remove ROM board
10.Power On machine.
11.Perform SRV reset.
