CHAPTER 5 : ENHANCEMENTS
The following features are available when then
“ENHANCEMENT” licence is enabled.
“ENHANCEMENT” licence is enabled.
Minimum Age for PLU / DEPT
This feature allows you to assign a “minimum allowed
age” for individual PLUs, EANs and D-EANS. It can
also be set on a departmental basis.
If the Minimum Age for a specific PLU is zero, the UP-
800 will check if a minimum age has been set for its
associated department. If the age specified in both the
PLU/EAN and the associated DEPT are zero, the item
will sell without restriction.
However, if either is non-zero, the UP-800 will prompt
the operator to confirm that the customer is of the
required age. The operator must respond with a simple
YES or NO. If the response is YES, the item is
registered in the normal way. If the response is NO,
the UP-
800 will report a “ITEM PROHIBITED” error.
Configuration
SRV Mode
– Enable “ENHANCEMENT” licence.
At this point, the licence ID code will be displayed (not
shown here). This must be passed to PRS in order to
obtain an AUTH code, which must be entered into the
ECR.
After inputting the AUTH code, save the licence.

PGM2 Mode

And for DEPTs :

Scanned
