Direct Skip Function
This function allows you to skip directly to the beginning of any title
(track) or chapter while a disc is playing.
• Press the MEMORY button or the ûPLAY button on the remote
control (DVD player: 
) within 10 seconds of pressing a number
to select your title, chapter or track. Once 10 seconds has passed,
your selection is automatically cancelled.
• You can use the shuttle dial 
/
 and the 
 (PLAY) button on
the DVD player for Chapter Direct Skip on a DVD and Track Direct
Skip on a VCD or CD. Note however that you cannot use this
method for Title Direct Skip on a DVD.
• The Title Direct Skip function does not operate on discs on which no
titles are recorded.
• On some discs, the Direct Skip function is disabled.

Pressing the MEMORY button or the ûPLAY button on the remote control (DVD player: 
) confirms the
selected title number and the player skips to title 2 and begins playing the title.
• If the entered title number does not exist on the disc, the number is ignored when the MEMORY or
ûPLAY  button is pressed.
• Only Title Direct Skip is available in Stop mode. The Chapter Direct Skip function cannot be used.

Programmed Playback
The three types of programmed playback provided by this DVD
player are title programmed playback (DVD discs), chapter pro-
grammed playback (DVD discs) and track programmed playback
(VCD/CD discs).
• On some discs, the programmed playback is disabled.

• If you enter two or more digits, only the last two digits are
displayed.
• If you press the CLEAR button while you are entering a title
number, the number entered reverts to

• If you press the CLEAR button when the DVD player is
awaiting input (cursor in

the previous location.
• If you hold down the CLEAR button for 2 seconds or longer
while you are entering numbers, all the entered numbers are
