20.7. INITIALIZATION CIRCUIT
20.7.1. Function:
This circuit is used for initializing the CPU when the AC adaptor is connected.
20.7.2. Circuit Operation:
When the unit is powered ON, then the voltage is regulated to 8.0V in IC401 and power is supplied to Q401. Q401 regulate the
voltage to 5.4V and power is supplied to the Pin 7 of IC601 (CPU) via D406, D409. IC402 is Reset IC that is output Power Down
signal. When input voltage is lower than 4.5V output voltage is LOW level. If input voltage is higher than 4.5V output voltage is High
level. The output voltage is supplied to Pin 62 of IC601 via R620. The output voltage from IC402 make reset pulse by reset circuit
that is C411, R409, R410, Q404, R411. The reset pulse is input to Pin 8 of IC601 via R607.

CHARGE MODE
When charging the portable unit on the base unit, the charge current is supplied to the Portable unit from the charge terminal
via L401 and L405 on the Base unit. The battery in the Portable unit is charged through L902, D950.
When the Portable unit is charged on the Base unit, Q908 is turned on. The collector of Q908 is low and the signal is input to
Pin30 of IC901. Also, (-) charge terminal is high level. The voltage via L406, R413 turns on Q405. The collector of Q405 is low
and the signal via R601 is input to Pin50 of IC601. In this way, the CPU on both unit detects the fact that the battery is charged.

mode. The battery is charged for 5 hours by a normal current at each charge.
