Important notice on optical block replacement
LCD panels used for this model cannot be replaced separately. Do not disassemble the optical block. These LCD panels
are installed with precision at the factory. When replacing the LCD panel, should be replaced whole of the LCD panels and
prism assy at once.
When replacing optical block, take the optical and electrical adjustments following to the chapter "Adjustment".
Note for model PT-VZ575N
Do not remove the optical block from the
base mounter of the projection lens, doing
so may cause degradation of focus per-
formance.
3.2. Projection lens and optical block assy removal
<note> Before removing the projection lens and optical block assy, take out the lighting case from the bottom case.
1. Remove 4 screws-A and remove the projection lens and optical block assy from the lighting case.
3.2.1 Optical block removal (only for PT-VW535N/VX605N)
1. Loosen 4 hex screws-A and remove the optical block upward.
<note> When taking the cleaning or replacing the polarizers, we recommend not to remove the
optical block from the projection lens.

1. Remove each polarizer. As the polarizers are attached with adhesive tape, remove them carefully.
<Note> When replacing, pay attention not to scratch or break the surrounding parts (Prism , LCD panel, etc.). As the part
of LCD panels are adjusted preciously at the factory, handle the optical block not to apply any power force on it.
We recommend that the projection lens should be mounted on the optical block while taking the replacement.
• Insert the edge of flat screw driver into the adhesive part of the polarizer and remove it bit by bit by turning the driver.

3.2.3. Polarizer-out replacement
Before replacing the polarizer, refer to "Note on handling of inorganic polarizer" on item 4. optical parts cleaning.

3.2.2 Optical block mounting (only for VW535N/VX605N)
1. Mount the optical block onto the base mount as shown in the figure.
2. Gently press bottom part of the optical block in the arrow direction and fix it by tighten 4 hex-screws in the numerical order
in the figure.
