6 SCREEN OPERATION
6.1.
Position Detection Mechanism
6.1.1.
1st Version Product
Electrode sheets in the X and Y directions of the Screen Board are allocated to detect the position that a user touches with
electrical conductors fingers or electronic pens.
By touching a point at the intersection of an X electrode (one of 162 electrodes for UB-T880 or one of 186 electrodes for
UB-T880W) with an Y electrode (one of 120 electrodes), elite Panaboard will detect a change in the intersection capacitance
via RECEPTION 1 Board or RECPTION 2 Board to specify the position touched with fingers or electronic pens, while the
drive pulse is applied from the TRANSMISSION Board.

2nd Version Product
Electrode sheets in the X and Y directions of the Screen Board are allocated to detect the position that a user touches with
electrical conductors fingers or electronic pens.
By touching a point at the intersection of an X electrode (one of 81 electrodes for UB-T880 or one of 93 electrodes for
UB-T880W) with an Y electrode (one of 60 electrodes), elite Panaboard will detect a change in the intersection capacitance
via RECEPTION 1 Board to specify the position touched with fingers or electronic pens, while the drive pulse is applied
from the TRANSMISSION Board.
