Main control block of this system is CPU built in PF4-ASIC (IC9). It controls Front & Back & Flatbed CIS(Contact Image Sensor),
Motor (Conveyor Motor, Platen Motor, Carriage Motor), Sensors' block (Paper, Starting, Door, Auto/Manual select, Double Feed
Detect, Carriage Home, Document Cover) and Panel Block (LCD,LEDs, Switch) and so on. Document scanning operation is
realized by the control.
Paper Feeding
The PF4 (IC9) provides the Motor Driver (IC20) with some motor-pulse signals to drive the Conveyor Motor to execute scanning 
documents.
Image Processing
1. This scanner has 2 ADF CISs (CIS (F) and CIS (B)) so that both sides of document can be scanned independently. And have one 
Flat Bed CIS (CIS (FB)).
At first, these CISs are driven by the drive pulses (CIS Transfer Gate pulse and CIS Transfer Gate Clock) that are output from the 
pulse generation circuit in the PF4 (IC9).
2. As the result of this, image analog signals "SIG" are output from the CIS respectively.
3. The analog signals are alternately converted to digital signals by AFE (Analog Front End).
The ADF CIS of KV-SL3066 has 6 analog output, the analog signals of front and back CIS are converted by two AFE (IC1, IC2).
The ADF CIS of KV-SL3056/3055/3036/3035 has 3 analog output, the analog signals of front and back CIS are converted by one 
AFE (IC2).
The FB CIS is common to all models, and it has 3 analog output, the analog signals are converted by one AFE (IC3).
4. The converted digital signals are stored to the DDR3 Memory temporarily by the PF4 (IC9).
5. According to the command from the PC, DSP in the PF4 (IC9) performs image processing such as shading, color conversion
(Only applied to color image data), and JPEG compression by using DDR3 Memory that enables the intermediate data (Only
applied to color image data)
6. After handling the above process, the PF4 (IC9) stores the data into the DDR3 Memory.
7. Controlled by USB Controller in the PF4 (IC9), the processed data is transmitted from DDR3 Memory to the PC via the USB
interface.
