TRF No. IEC60065J
5.4.1
Norway and Sweden
To the end of 5.4.1 (after the compliance
statement) the following is added:
The screen of the cable distribution system is
normally not earthed at the entrance of the building
and there is normally no equipotential bonding
system within the building. Therefore the protective
earthing of the building installation need to be
isolated from the screen of a cable distribution
system.
It is however accepted to provide the insulation
external to the equipment by an adapter or an
interconnection cable with galvanic isolator, which
may be provided by e.g. a retailer.
The user manual shall then have the following or
similar information in Norwegian and Swedish
language respectively, depending on in what
country the equipment is intended to be used in:
“Equipment connected to the protective earthing of
the building installation through the mains
connection or through other equipment with a
connection to protective earthing – and to a cable
distribution system using coaxial cable, may in
some circumstances create a fire hazard.
Connection to a cable distribution system has
therefore to be provided through a device providing
electrical isolation below a certain frequency range
(galvanic isolator, see EN 60728-11)”
NOTE In Norway, due to regulation for installations of cable
distribution systems, and in Sweden, a galvanic isolator shall
provide electrical insulation below 5 MHz. The insulation shall
withstand a dielectric strength of 1,5 kV r.m.s., 50 Hz or 60 Hz,
for 1 min.
Translation to Norwegian (the Swedish text will also
be accepted in Norway):
“Utstyr som er koplet til beskyttelsesjord via
nettplugg og/eller via annet jordtilkoplet utstyr – og
er tilkoplet et kabel-TV nett, kan forårsake
brannfare. For å unngå dette skal det ved tilkopling
av utstyret til kabel-TV nettet installeres en
galvanisk isolator mellom utstyret og kabel-TV
nettet.”

15.1.1
Denmark
The text of the Danish SNC in EN 60065:2002 has
been modified as follows:
To the first paragraph the following is added:
In Denmark, supply cords of single-phase
appliances having a rated current not exceeding 13
A shall be provided with a plug according to the
Heavy Current Regulations Section 107-2-D1.
Appliances of CLASS I provided with socket-outlets
with earth contact or which are intended to be used
in locations where protection against indirect
contact is required according to the wiring rules
shall be provided with a plug in accordance with the
Heavy Current Regulations, Section 107-2-D1
standard sheet DK 2-1a.
To the second paragraph the following is added:
Socket outlets intended for providing power to
CLASS II apparatus with a rated current of 2,5 A
shall be in accordance with the Heavy Current
Regulation, Section 107-2-D1 standard sheet DKA
1-4a.
Other current ratings socket outlets shall be in
compliance with the Heavy Current Regulation,
Section 107-2-D1 standard sheet DKA 1-3a or DKA
1-3b.
To the third paragraph the following is added:
Mains socket-outlets with earthing contact shall be
in compliance with the Heavy Current Regulation,
Section 107-2-D1 standard sheet DK 1-3a, DK 1-5a
or DK 1-7a.
Justification: Heavy Current Regulations, Section

(16.4b)
Delete “Subclause 3.1 of IEC Publication 60227-2:
Part 2: Test Methods“ and insert “Subclause 9.1 of
SS 236“:
9.1 Flexing test (except for tinsel cords, twisted
twin and single core cords). The test shall be
carried out by means of the apparatus shown in
Figure 5. This apparatus has a carrier C supporting
two pulleys A and B arranged so that the cord is
horizontal between the pulleys. The carrier moves
backward and forward over a distance of 1 m at an
approximately constant speed of 0.33 m/s.
A sample of flexible cord about 5 m long shall be
stretched over the pulleys as shown in the figure,
each end being loaded with a weight. The weight
and the diameter of the pulleys A and B shall be
given in Table 1.
Screen cords in accordance with Table 7 shall be
tested before application of the screen and outer
sheath.
The pulleys shall have a semi-circular shaped
groove for circular cords and a flat groove for
parallel twin cords. The restraining clamps D shall
be fixed so that the pull is always applied by the
weight from which the carrier is moving away.
The carrier shall make 30 000 backward and
forward movements (60 000 single strokes). Each
conductor of the sample shall be loaded with the
current specified in Table 2.
For twin cords and for light PVC-sheated 3-core
cords, the voltage between the conductors shall
be approximately 230 V a.c. For all other cords
having three or more cores a three-phase a.c.
voltage of about 400 V shall be applied to three
conductors, any additional conductors being
connected to the neutral.
During the test no open-circuit in any core or
short-circuit between cores shall occur.
After the test, any sheath on cords having three
or more cores shall be removed. The cord, or the
laid up cores, shall then withstand the voltage
test specified in Subclause 8.2 or 8.3 as
appropriate, but with a test voltage not exceeding
2000 V.
