SPECIFICATIONS
3.1 Standards
EN 55 020 (1994) and Amendments A11(1996), A12(1999), A13(1999) and A14(1999): Electromagnetic
immunity of broadcast receivers and associated equipment.
The equipment has no external power connection or connection facility for external antenna and therefore
testing has only been performed according to Amendment A12 (1999).
Amendment A12 refers to the following basic standards:
EN 61000-4-2 (1995) and A1(1995): Electrostatic discharge immunity test.
Required test level:
Air discharge 8 kV, contact discharge 4 kV.
EN 61000-4-3 (1996):
Radiated, radio-frequency, electromagnetic field immunity test.
Required test level:
895-905 MHz, 3 V/m, 50 % duty cycle, 200 Hz rep. frequency.
EN 61000-4-4 (1995):
Electrical fast transient/burst requirements.
Required test level:
1,0 kV AC supply.
3.2 Additions, deviations and exclusions from standards and accreditation
No additions, deviations or exclusions have been made from standard.
All tests performed are within the scope of the accreditation.
3.3 Mode of operation during the test
During the test the EUT was operating in the following mode:
The DVD-player was playing a test DVD disc.

3.4 Performance criteria
The performance criteria are based on the general criteria in the standard.
Performance criteria
Criterion A:
The performance criteria are based on the general criteria in the standard.
Performance criteria
Criterion A:
The equipment shall continue to operate as intended during the test. No change of actual
operating state (see below), is allowed as a result of the application of the test.
Criterion B:
The equipment shall continue to operate as intended after the test. No loss of function is
allowed after the test when the apparatus is used as intended. No change of actual
operating state (see below) is allowed as a result of the application of the test.
During the test, degradation of performance is allowed.
Change of actual operating state of the EUT:
Playback is interrupted in DVD-mode.
3.5 Performance verification
The test engineer observed the performance of the EUT directly or via video cameras.
The audio and video performance was checked via a television set, and the EUT was connected to the
television set.

5.2 Test set-up
A horizontal coupling plane (HCP) was placed on a non-metallic table 0,8 m above a reference ground plane
(RGP) and connected to it with a cable with two 470 k
Ω resistors. The EUT was placed on an insulation
sheet on the HCP and was operating according to the specified operating mode.
A vertical coupling plane (VCP) was connected to the RGP with a cable with two 470 k
