With the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) feature,
you can display a sub screen within the
main picture of different TV programs or
video inputs.

Tips
• You can also display the sub screen and exchange pictures between the
main and sub screens using the menu (see Changing the “PIP” setting on
page 27).
• You can change the position of the sub screen (see Changing the “PIP”
setting
 on page 27).
Notes
• When you display a video input on the sub screen at a faster/slower
speed, the picture may be disrupted depending on the VCR type.
• If you display different color systems on the sub screen, the size of the sub
screen may be different and the picture may be disrupted. This does not
indicate a malfunction of the TV.

listen to the surround sound that spreads out to the rear of a room.

• You can also select the surround option using the menu (see Changing the

You can use the buttons on the remote

menu and adjust the settings.

Tips

Changing the
“PICTURE” setting
The “PICTURE” menu allows you to
change the picture settings.

Press MENU.

Make sure the “PICTURE”
icon ( 
 ) is selected,
then press ENTER.

Press V or v to select the
desired item (e.g.,
“PICTURE MODE” ),
then press ENTER.
Select

“PICTURE MODE”
choose either “DYNAMIC”, “STANDARD”, “SOFT”,
“PERSONAL”*, or “ADJUST”.
“WIDE MODE”
change the picture size when receiving wide-mode (16:9)
picture signal.
Press V or v to select “ON”, then press ENTER.
To cancel, select “OFF”, then press ENTER.
“INTELLIGENT  PIC”
optimize picture quality.
Press V or v to select “ON”, then press ENTER.
To cancel, select “OFF”, then press ENTER.
* When the “PERSONAL” mode is selected, you can receive the last
adjusted picture settings from the “ADJUST” option (see page 24).
