Procedure
1.
Enter the service mode, move the

3-3. Video Input Level Check and Adjustment

Input a video signal to this unit when confirming and adjusting the level of a video input signal.
Input the color-bar signal of the signal level (during 75 
Z termination) below to the video input terminal.
Equipment required
. Monitor television (with S video input)
. Oscilloscope (a band of 30 MHz or higher)
. Signal generator
. 75 Z terminator
. Video cable
. S video cable

Troubleshooting
4-1. Electrical Troubleshooting
Trouble: No video signal is output. (No monitor screen is displayed on the monitor.)
Remedy:
. Confirm the flat cable (DKVS42).
. Confirm IC202 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm that the input select key is set to positions other than “Personal computer”.
n
A video signal cannot be output when the input select key is set to “Personal computer”.
Confirm using the input select key of the DPP-SV88 (hereafter referred to as this unit).
. Confirm the flexible flat cable (14-pin) when a video signal is not output with the
input select key set to “Video”.
Trouble: No memory stick image can be read.
Remedy:
. Confirm that the input select key is set to Memory stick.
. Confirm CN181 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm IC101 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm that an image is based on the compatible file format.
Trouble: No PC card image can be read.
Remedy:
. Confirm that the input select key is set to PC card.
. Confirm CN254 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm IC251 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm that an image is based on the compatible file format.
Trouble: No CD-R/RW image can be read or written.
Remedy:
. Confirm the flexible flat cable (45-pin).
. Confirm IC501 to IC509 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm the CD-R/RW unit.
. Confirm that the CD-R or CD-RW media is not cracked or deformed.
Trouble: A printer is not recognized by the personal computer.
Remedy:
. Confirm the flexible flat cable (30-pin).
. Confirm IC951 on the MD-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm IC101 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
Trouble: No buttons on the operation panel can be operated.
Remedy: Confirm the harness (SW42).
Trouble: No remote control operation can be performed.
Remedy:
. Confirm IC501 and IC511 on the DK-42 board and the peripheral circuit.
. Confirm the remote controller.
