     Before disengaging the 2 claws in step

, hold 

     the EVF lens facing downward and then disengage 
     the 2 claws very slowly and carefully so that the 
     internal 2 plastic sheets must not drop. Keep 
     them in place with an appropriate piece of sheet so 
     that hey do not drop out of their positions.
