6) A picture captured by the camera is displayed on the screen,
and the adjustment is performed.

If the following message is displayed, the picture frame
setting is faulty. Check the picture frame, and then perform
readjustment.

Color Reproduction Adjustment
[Adjustment method]
1) Start the Color Adjustment Program (V3ColorAdjustment.exe).
2) Click the 
[Connect]
  button to set the camera to the adjust-
ment mode.

3) Adjust the mode dial of the camera to “A” and set MACRO
mode. Shoot the 9 colors chart with the zoom at WIDE end.
4) Adjust the camera direction and distance to set the picture
frame. (Refer to 3. Picture Frame Setting)
5) Click the 
[Color Reproduction Adjustment]
 button.

and the checking is performed.
The checking result is displayed on the vector scope screen.

[Automatic Adjustment Program execution items and
sequence]
1. Data Setting during Camera Adj.

[Adjusting method]
1) Click the 
[CAMERA Adjustment 4 Start]
 button.
2) The Automatic Adjustment Program executes the “1. Data Set-
ting during Camera Adj.”.
3) Upon successful completion of “1. Data Setting during Cam-
era Adj.”, “2. Picture Frame Setting” is executed. The follow-
ing message is displayed, and then referring to Fig. 6-1-24 to
Fig. 6-1-26 (See page 6-16), set the subject and click the 
[OK]
button.

After that, the next message is displayed. Then, change the chart
in accordance with the message.

4) Click the 
[OK]
 button, and the items from “3. CCD Linearity
Check” to “6. Release of Data Setting during Camera Adj.”
will be executed.
5) Upon successful completion of all items of the CAMERA
Adjustment 4, the following message is displayed. Click the
[OK]
 button.

10. Get Reference Data & CAMERA Adjustment 5
Note 1:
“AF Laser Output Adj.” of “CAMERA Adjustment 5”
needs the reference data. Before making adjustment, get
the reference data by executing “Get Reference Data”.
Note 2:
Reference data varies every Background paper (Flash ad-
justment box).
Note 3:
Once the reference data has been got, “Get Reference
Data” need not be executed again if the same Background
paper (Flash adjustment box) is used. As the adjustment
can be done with the same reference data, when refer-
ence data is got, record it.
10-1. Get Reference Data
Note 1:
To get the reference data, separately from the camera to
be adjusted, prepare the DSC-V3 that meets the follow-
ing conditions and use it as the reference camera.
• Must operate normally
• Must be in the factory setting state (in the state ad-
justed in the factory)
• Data of page: F, address: 54, must be “00”.
Note 2:
It takes 7 to 15 minutes to get the reference data.
[Automatic Adjustment Program execution items and
sequence]
1. Data Setting during Camera Adj.

3. Release of Data Setting during Camera Adj.
[Data acquisition method]
1) Connect the reference camera to the PC.
2) If 
[Get Reference Data for AF Laser Output Adj.]
 button is
clicked, the following message is displayed. Set the subject in
accordance with the message. (For the Flash adjustment box,
refer to “3. Preparing the Flash Adjustment Box” (page 6-6).)

3) If the 
[OK]
 button is clicked, the Automatic Adjustment Pro-
gram executes “1. Data Setting during Camera Adj.” and “2.
Get Reference Data”.
4) Upon successful completion of the data acquisition, the refer-
ence data will be displayed with the following message. Record
the data, and then click the 
[OK]
 button.
Note 3:
The data is displayed with a hexadecimal number.

5) After that, the “3. Release of Data Setting during Camera Adj.”
will be executed.
6) Upon successful completion of all items of the Get Reference
Data, the following message is displayed. Click the 
[OK]
