Note: Be sure to write down the current program version.
(4)  Select “SPECIAL” from the process menu and press ENTER button.
(5)  Select “USB-MODE” and then press the X button to set the value to 1 from 0.
(6)  Select “IPL2” and then press the ENTER button.
(7)  The lamp of the projector goes to off and the projector starts the cooling. Wait

for about 60 seconds.

(8)  Disconnect the power cord.
(9)  Wait about 5 seconds, and then connect the power cord.

Note: Be sure to surely connect the AC cord. If the AC cord is disconnected
during updating, the data in the flash memory may be corrupted and the
projector may become unable to operate.

(10) If the projector has changed to the following condition, the projector is in the

standby mode to write the firmware. If so, connect the USB cable.

(11) If the projector does not change to the above status, take the steps again from

the previous step 1-1(2).

1-2. Writing the firmware 

In case of “AA” version & Other version

(1)  Start the Tera Term Pro from Windows “Start” button.

If the “Tera Term:Error” dialog box appear, click ”OK”, and then proceed in the
next step.

(2)  From the menu, select the “Control” and then “Macro”.

(3)  The “MACRO Open macro” dialog box will appear. Select “fwp_m20s.ttl” and

then click “Open”.

(4) The input box appears in the dialog box. Enter the COM port number you wrote

down in the previous step. And then click “OK”.

(5)  It takes about 40 minutes to transfer data (It varies depending on the PC

performance). The progress of data transfer is displayed in the dialog box and
the LAMP indicator blinks in green during this period. After transferring data, it
takes about one more minutes to finally update the firmware. Wait until the
update is completely finished.

The Tera Term sends the “pj_jffs_m20s.bwh”. (approx. 3,000,000 Bytes transferred)

If “Tera Term:Send file” dialog box does not appear, check both “pj_jffs_m20s.bwh” and
“fwp_m20sttl” are in 

“c:\PROGRAM FILES\TTERMPRO”

 folder in which the Tera Term

Pro has been installed.

(6)  If the firmware is successfully updated, the LAMP indicator lights up in red and

then the "OK" dialog box appears. And then click "OK".
Note: There is a possibility that the data communication is failed if the projector
does not change to the above status even though past for two minutes or
more. The number will be counted up to 24 during transferring. If the number is
over 100, the data communication is failed. If so, turn the projector off and
close the Tera Term Pro, and then take the steps again from 1-1.
