1. Unpacking
(Removal of the main unit)

Check to insure that all the following parts are packaged.
• Check that the printer is in stand-by state.
Check that the DATA indicator on the operation panel is neither lit

A. Turn off the power of the main unit
1)
Turn OFF the power switch on the operation panel.
2)
Open the front cabinet.
Turn OFF the power switch in the front cabinet of the main unit.

Disconnect the power plug of the main unit from the power out-

B. Fixing material removal
1)
Remove the fixing material from the large capacity paper feed
tray.

Manually pull out the cassette
Push the shaft at the rear side of the front cabinet to release
the lock. (About 5mm)
Push the shaft at the rear side of the front cabinet to release

* When the lock is released, the spring will push out the cas-
sette about 50mm. Be careful of that.
3)
Slowly pull out the paper feed base tray until it stops.
4)
Remove the fixing material inside the large capacity tray.
5)
Remove three fixing screws (3 pcs.) of the paper feed table of
the LCC.

NOTE: When the power is turned on without removing the fixing
screw, remove the fixing screw and execute SIM 15.
This will reset any possible error code.

6)
Push the large capacity tray slowly into the original position.

C. Attach the upper mounting plates and the
lower front/rear connecting plates.
1)
Attach the two upper mounting plates with the rubber portion
(

★) down to the right side of the main unit using screws A (two
for each).
2)
Remove the fixing screw of the front/rear cover on the lower
right side of the main unit. Attach the lower front side
(engraved mark F) of the connecting plate to the lower front
side of the main unit with two fixing screws B.

plate to the lower rear side of the main unit with two fixing
screws B.

Remove the fixing screws (2 pcs.) of the machine entry port,
and remove the entry port cover.

Reverse the entry port cover and re-attach it to the machine.

D. Installation to the machine and height
adjustment
1)
Use the edge of the connection plates F/R mounted to the
lower side of the machine and the mark on the mounting plate
in the lower left side of the LCC to check the installation height.

a. When the height is properly adjusted
When the top edges of the F/R mounting plates on the
machine line up with the center mark of the mounting plates on
the large capacity tray, as shown in the illustration below, then
the height of the tray is within specification. At this point the
front and rear fixing plates can be installed and secured with
the supplied screws (shown in the illustration on the next
page).

b. When the height is not properly adjusted
Use the adjustment device on the lower left side of the LCC to
adjust the height of the left caster section.

<1> Loosen the hex washer based screws on the both ends of
the caster movable plate in the front and the rear sides.
<2> Turn the adjustment screw above to adjust the height.
After adjustment with the adjustment screw, tighten the
screws on the both ends of the caster movable plate
which were loosened in the previous procedure.

NOTE: Adjust so that the marks on the left and the right sides of
the caster movable plate and the lead edge of the triangu-
lar hole are at the same height.
