4) Joint the LCT connecting plates (F/R) fixed to MX-LC13 and
the connecting plates (F/R) fixed to the main unit.
NOTE: Note for separation
When separating, tighten the screw to release the
lock.
When connecting again, loosen the screw after con-
nection.
5) Ensure even clearance of the upper section by pushing the
MX-LC13.
6)
Connect the connector from MX-LC13 to the machine and
tighten the screw.
NOTE: Use an L-shape screwdriver.
C. When connecting two units
1)
Install the MX-RB17.
2)
Attach the LCT connecting plate to the large capacity trays
with the screws (Packed items No. 4 S-tight, M4 x 8).
MEMO: The reference label is attached to the plate. Attach it
so that the label can be seen from the outside.
3)
Attach the connection plates (F/R) to the first-series MX-LC13
with the screws (Packed items No. 4 S-tight, M4 x 8).

4) Remove the screw, and remove the paper guide cover in the
right side of the first-series MX-LC13.
5) Turn the paper guide cover over and fix it with screws again.
6) Attach the connection plate (Upper) to the first-series MX-
LC13 with the screws (No. 11 Hex washer S-tight M4 x 18).
7) Remove the connector cover of the first-series MX-LC13.
8)
Fit the connection plates (F/R) attached to the first-series MX-
LC13 with the LCT connection plates (F/R) attached to the
second-series MX-LC13.
9)
Attach the harness of the second-series MX-LC13 to the first-
series MX-LC13, and tighten the screw of the harness to fix.
NOTE: Use an L-shape screwdriver.
10) Adjust the clearance of the exterior cabinet evenly.
See drawing below.

11) Adjust the height of the exterior cabinet to the same level.

12) Ensure even clearance of the upper section between the first
and the second MX-LC13 bypushing the second series MX-
LC13.
D. Turn ON the power of the main unit
1)
Connect the power plug of the machine to the power outlet,
and turn ON the main power switch and the operation panel
power switch.
E. Size setting
1)
Check to insure that the main body is standby state, and press
the [System setting] key on the operation panel.
2)
Menu screen is displayed on the touch panel. Select the
[Paper Tray Settings].
3)
Select the paper size of large capacity tray from contents of
[Paper Tray Settings].
F. Off-center adjustment 
(1) Off-center check
Since the off-center adjustment has been made at shipping, there
is normally no need to adjust. If, however, the center is shifted,
carry out the following steps to adjust.
1)
Run Sim50-10 using the keypad on the main unit.
2)
This screen allows you to configure the print off-center adjust-
ment value for each paper feed tray.
3)
On the touch panel, press DOWN key to select "H: 50:
MAINLCT1" and press the [EXECUTE] key 
4)
Check that the adjustment pattern image is printed in the cor-
rect position.
Measure the dimensions of the void areas on the front and rear
frame sides of the adjustment pattern image, and make sure
that the following conditions are met:
“A-B” is over 3mm: Move to Mechanical Adjustment 1
“A-B” is less than +/-3mm: Move to Mechanical Adjustment 2
(2) Mechanical Adjustment

Open the left side door and the LCT delivery paper guide unit.

2) Loosen the 2 blue screws.
3) Adjust the LCT position to push or pull with holding the pillar of
LCT as the figure below.
In case the print image shifts to front: Push LCT to rear
direction.
In case the print image shifts to rear: Pull LCT to front direc-
tion.
After finish the adjustment, fix the unit with the 2 blue screws.
If these adjustment above couldn’t adjust Off-center completely, the
following adjustment is needed.
When shifting the line of printing from the center of the paper in the
direction A of arrow as shown below:
1) Separate the LCT from the main unit.
When separating, tighten the screw to release the lock. 
When connecting again, loosen the screw after connection.
2) Open the left side door and open the LCT delivery paper guide
unit.
3) Loosen the 2 blue screws.
4)
Shift the connection unit to the following direction and fix the 2
blue screws.
In case the print image shifts to front;
- Shift the Connection plate unit to the front.
In case the print image shifts to rear: Use F hole.
- Shift the Connection plate unit to the rear.
5)
To stick the L-shape driver (Packed items No.12) to the adjust-
ment hole, the connection plate unit position can be adjusted
to the following 4 steps.
F1.5 / 3 : Shift the unit 3 / 1.5 mm to front.
R1.5 / 3 : Shift the unit 3 / 1.5 mm to rear.
6)
Reinstall MX-LC13 to the main unit. 
Use the mark of the rear regulation plate, and fix the blue
screw at the position so that the clearance between paper and
the rear regulation plate is evenly 1mm.
NOTE: Fasten the screw which was unfastened in the proceu-
dre 1).
NOTE: When installing this machine in a place of low atmo-
spheric pressure, check and conform to the adjustment con-
tents in the MX-LC13 Service Manual.
