2) LPR Port Set-up and Configuration 
 
Click on Start – Settings – Printers. Double click on the Add Printer icon.

If you are going to print to the copier using a parallel cable or the TCP/IP protocol, select Local Printer 
and click Next. (Un-check Automatically detect and install my Plug & Play printer). 
 

 

 
The Wizard will now request the communications port: 
 

Note:   
LPT1 through LPT3 are local parallel ports.  COM1 through COM4 are local serial ports.  LPT1 
would be chosen if the AR-P15 was connected directly to this workstation with a parallel cable.

In the Type field, select the option for LPR Port.  Click Next. 
 

 

 
Note: Make sure that the Sharp AR651/810 is powered on and connected to the network. 
 
 
The Add Port dialog box will appear. 
 

 

 
Enter the IP address of the AR-P15 in the Printer Name or Address of server providing lpd field and 
the required Queue name in the Name of printer or print queue on that server field.

3) Installation of the Print Driver 
 
The next step is to load the Sharp AR651Print Driver. Click Have Disk when the Add Printer Wizard 
starts. 

 

 
Insert the AR-P15 User Software CD (SharpEye CD11) and browse for the required Printer Driver 
(English\Prntdrvr directory).
