The LCD module built in this LCD Monitor is
manufactured with highly precise technology.
However bright pixels or blank pixels may appear
constantly. Also an irregular color and brightness
may appear depending on view angle. Please
note that these phenomena are common for
liquid crystal monitor and are not a malfunction.
-
Do not leave the screen displaying idly for long
periods of time, as this could cause afterimage to
remain.
-
If the brightness is adjusted to the minimum
setting it may be difficult to see the screen.
-
The quality of the computer signal may influence
the quality of the display. We recommend using a
computer able to emit high quality video signals.
-
Never rub or tap the monitor with hard objects.
-
Please understand that Sharp Corporation bears
no responsibility for errors made during use by
the customer or a third party, nor for any other
malfunctions or damage to this product arising
during use, except where indemnity liability is
recognized under law.

This monitor and its accessories may be
upgraded without advance notice.
Location
-
Do not use the monitor where ventilation is poor,
where there is a lot of dust, where humidity is
high, or where the monitor may come into
contact with oil or steam, as this could lead to
fire.
-
Ensure that the monitor does not come into
contact with water or other fluids. Ensure that no
objects such as paper clips or pins enter the
monitor as this could lead to fire or electric
shock.
-
Do not place the monitor on top of unstable
objects or in unsafe places. Do not allow the
monitor to come into contact with strong shocks
or vibrations. Causing the monitor to fall or topple
over may damage it.
-
Do not use in places where the monitor will be
subject to direct sunlight, near heating equipment
or anywhere else where there is likelihood of
high temperature, as this may lead to generation
of excessive heat and outbreak of fire
The Power Cord
-
Do not damage the power cord nor place heavy
objects on it, stretch it or overly bend it. Also, do
not add extension cords. Damage to the cord
may result in fire or electric shock.

Use only the AC adapter supplied with the
monitor. Using an AC adapter other than that
supplied may lead to fire.
-
Insert the power plug directly into the AC outlet.
Adding an extension cord may lead to fire as a
result of overheating

Utility Disk program. Do not reproduce it without
permission.

The shape of the supplied accessaries may not
be exactly same as shown in this booklet.
Use of AC adapter
-
Do not use the AC adapter for other than the
specified equipment.
-
Unplug the AC adapter if it is not used for long
time.
-
Do not place any objects on the AC adapter.
-
Do not use the AC adapter outdoors.
-
Do not attempt to repair the AC adapter if it is
broken or malfunctioning. Refer the servicing to
the service representative.
-
Do not try to open the AC adapter.
-
Do not use water or wet cloth for cleaning the AC
adapter.
Manual Scope

In this booklet, Microsoft Windows 2000 will be
referred to as [Windows2000], Microsoft Windows
Millenium as [WindowsMe], Microsoft Windows
98 as [Windows98], Microsoft Windows 95 as
[Windows95], and Microsoft Windows Version 3.1
as [Windows3.1]. When there is no need to
distinguish between programs, the term
[Windows] will be used.

Tips and safety precautions

1) MENU button
This button is used to open, select and close the On Screen Display (OSD)
Menu.
2) SELECT button
When the OSD Menu is displayed, selects the menu option to be adjusted.
3)     button
When the OSD Menu is displayed:
These buttons are used to increase or decrease the value of a selected
option.
When the OSD Menu is not displayed:
These buttons are used to adjust backlight brightness.
4) POWER button (LED)
Turns  the monitor on and off. The LED is lit green when in use and orange
when in power-saving state.
5) INPUT button
This button toggles the signal input connectors (Analog signal input connec-
tor 
↔ DVI-D input connector)
6) COLOR MODE button
This button selects the color tone of the screen.
7) BRIGHT button
This button is used to change the brightness the backlight.
8) BRIGHT SENSOR
Senses the brightness of the surrounding environment to adjust automati-
cally the backlight level.
Product description
Adjusting the tilt and the swivel of monitor
Lightly holding both sides of the monitor, adjust it to a suit-
able viewing angle.
Note:
When adjusting the screen tilt and swivel, pressure from
hands on the LCD panel could cause damage.

9) Security lock anchor
By connecting a security lock (purchased separately)to the security lock
anchor ,the monitor is fixed so that it cannot be transported.
The security slot works in conjunction with kensington Micro Saver Security
Systems.
10) Ventilation  opening
The openings to give off an internally generated heat.
Note: Never block the ventilation openings as this may lead to over-
heating inside the monitor and result in malfunction.
11) DC IN connector
Remove the cover to see DC-IN connector. The AC adapter is connected
here.
12) Analog signal input
Remove the cover to see Analog signal input connector. (Analog RGB signal
      connector
cable had been connected when shipping out this monitor)
13) AC adapter
AC adapter is mounted inside the cover.
14) Analog RGB signal cable Connecting to Analog RGB output connector on a computer.
15) DVI-D input connector
Remove the cover to see Digital signal input connector (DVI-D24 pin).
Connecting to a Digital RGB output connector on a computer.
Note 1: The input connector available for connecting to a computer equipped with DVI compatible output
connector (DVI-D24pin or DVI-I 29pin) and XGA output capability. (Depending on the type of
computer to be connected, the display may not work correctly)
Note 2: In order to connect, it is necessary to purchase a Digital signal cable (Model name: NL-C01E)

Connecting the monitor to a power source
(and digital signal cabling)
Use only the AC adapter supplied.
Notes:
-
Do not over bend the cable or give excessive
stress to the cable or sandwich the cables
between covers. Otherwise a breaking of a wire
may be occur.
1. Remove the rear cover (a).
Hold both lower sides of the cover and slowly pull
the cover upwards.
2. Remove the cover (b).
Pull slowly the upper sides of cover toward you
while pushing the 
 marks.
3. Remove the cover (c).
Pull slowly toward you while pushing both inner
sides of the cover.
4. Mounting the AC adapter
1) Bend lightly the root part of the cord. (Do not
over bend the cord.)
2) Insert the root part of outlet cord until it goes
out partly, from the round hole.and then slowly
put down the AC adapter.
Please check whether AC adapter is placed
horizontally within the both fixing rib.
5. Connecting AC adapter
1) Insert the cord into the cord holder.
2) Bundle cord and hang it on the cord hook.
3) Connect outlet plug to DC-IN connector.
