REM ************************WINTI SETTING END***************************
Settings
1.
Remove the # on this line to allow WINTi - Compulsory
2.
Remove the # on this line to set the PC Path FOR WINTi - Compulsory
3.
EFTEOD= This line is not compulsory. If set as EOD no change in operation
will be experienced. If however it is set as C:\WINTICMD.TXT it could invoke
an End of Day on WINTi. The setting invokes a preset script at WINTi which
can also invoke communication to the bank. To realise this function please
contact Sharp UK - Not Compulsory
4.
EFTNOCHK=1 This line will allow the POS when in Manual Key entry mode
only to prompt for relevant information. i.e Start Date, End Date Issue
Number. If the Card type does not need Start Date it will not be prompted
for. Care should be taken as if the set sequence is changed it may cause
problems of consistency with operators. N.B if the line is active the
feature is DISABLED - Not Compulsory
5.
EFTMAXCHAN=10 This line sets the number of active channels per POS. It
should be left at 10 unless for specific reasons. The DOS version allowed 16
per system, so this at 10 should be more than enough. - Compulsory
6.
EFTACC=001 This setting is not used, the Account will be set to 001 as
default if this line is not removed. Use only on multi account sites. - Not
Compulsory
7.
EFTOCCPATH=nnnnn This line defaults to a sub setting of EFTREQ if it is
changed for any reason it should be the same as EFTREQ with \POS. - Not
Compulsory
8.
EFTCASHBACK=n,m - This line allows Cashback on the POS terminal. See
item 24
9.
EFTGRATUITY=1 - Allows Gratuity print on the Voucher
10.
Pmn=CNP This line allows entry of EFT transactions with the “Customer NOT
Present”. This should only be set with agreement from the Bank or Acquirer.
It sets the payment method to send the transaction as a Customer NOT
Present. N is the Payment Method Number - Not Compulsory
N.B Only 1, 2 & 5 are necessary to use WINTi EFT
37
Operation
The operation has been left unchanged to allow easy conversion for customers. The
same functionality of Suspend etc are included as in the DOS Version. The only
differences that will be seen are 1. during Manually Keyed Transaction as in 4 above
or if 2. a customer NOT present Transaction is made or 3. The operator wishes to
force a transaction on-line over ruling the floor limit.

28. Dispense Printer Suppression (Locally)
As it is possible when using the Waitermate Hand-Held Terminal that items sold at
the “Waitermate” POS terminal do not need to print at a Dispense Printer located at
the POS terminal, a new KP suppression feature has been introduced.
Example
A POS terminal with two KP’s connected one for kitchen items and the
other for Bar dispense has a Waitermate Homebase connected. It is
necessary that items selected on the Waitermate need to print at the
kitchen and also at the Bar dispense, however items selected directly
from the POS terminal need only print in the kitchen.
Programming
In order to realise this function a new setting has been introduced in S2001.INI, as
follows
REM V4********************WAITERMATE PROGRAMMING START******************
REM ============PORT SETTING============
REM To set the Port that the Waitermate Base Station is connected to
REM remove the # below and set n= Com Port Number
# WAITERMATE=n
REM ======WAITERMATE PRINT STATION======
REM To set which POS Terminal to send Waitermate Reciepts and Bills
REM remove the # below and set n= POS Terminal Number and
REM x= to the Waitermate Number (e.g To set Waitermate 1 to print at POS
REM Terminal 3 WMPRINT1=3)
# WMPRINTx=n
REM ======KP LOCAL SUPPRESSION=========
REM IN ORDER TO STOP DISPENSE PRINTING AT A LOCAL NODE WHEN USING THE
REM WAITERMATE SET KPSUPPRESS=n,n,n WHERE n IS THE KP NUMBER
# KPSUPPRESS=1...................................................1
REM *********************WAITERMATE PROGRAMMING END*********************
Settings
1.
KPSUPPRESS=n,n – This setting suspends the use of the Dispense Printer at
the local machine, if more than one printer is required to be suppressed it is
possible to set multiple printers (i.e KPSUPPRESS=1,4 WILL SUPRESS KP1 &
4).
N.B after suppression is applied data will still be printed from other
POS terminals and the Waitermate Hand Helds

29. Magnetic Card for Table Entry
To realise table entry by Magnetic Card Swipe the Swipe for Table entry feature has
been introduced. The function allows new table opening and table addition to be
performed.
Programming
To realise this function new settings are available in S2001.INI
REM V4.4***************MAGNETIC CARD FOR TABLE SET**********************
REM TO ALLOW THE OPENING OF A TABLE USING A MAGNETIC CARD
REM REMOVE THE REM STATEMENT BELOW
# TABLESWIPE=x%y..................................................1
REM WHERE x=CARD START NUMBER AND y=NO OF DIGITS FOR TABLE NUMBER
REM EXAMPLE CARD NUMBER 12345001 WOULD SET AS 12345%3
REM TO SET AUTOMATIC COVERS REMOVE REM BELOW AND SET n=DEFAULT COVER COUNT
# SWIPECOVERS=1...................................................2
REM *******************MAGNETIC CARD FOR TABLE END**********************
Two settings are available :-
1.
TABLESWIPE=x%y - This setting selects the format of the card, this gives
great flexibility on the card types used. If the card chosen has a number
87347001 for room 1 and 87347003 for room 3 then the starting digits of
87347 are consistent for the site it is only the last 3 digits that contain the
room number. The setting for table swipe would therefore be:-
TABLESWIPE=87347%3
2.
SWIPECOVERS=1 - When a table is entered the No of Covers are asked for.
This could be inconvenient in operation and the customer may not be
interested in Cover count. To by-pass this function remove the REM in front of
SWIPECOVERS and add the number of covers that are required on table
entry. The default is 1.
Operation
The function can be used after clerk entry. If the card is swiped it will be opened
with the default no of covers if SWIPECOVERS is set and re-ordering will take place
if the card is swiped after clerk entry later. If SWIPECOVERS are not set then the
POS will prompt for the number of covers.
