STARTING THE VENTA VPM™ APPLICATION FOR THE FIRST TIME.
1.
To start the Venta VPM™ application, Select Start – All Programs – VPM – VPM

When prompted with the logon box select OK.

When Venta VPM™ has loaded select – Database – Connect to Server.
4.
Enter the Server Name. Node001 where 001 is the machine node number.
5.
When prompted with the logon box select OK.
6.
If the Logon is successful the Node number that you entered will be shown
within the MRU as shown in the above right picture.
Note: The Server Name. Refers to the live database, Normally the Master
Machine i.e. Node001.

Venta Pro™ Registration Procedure.
Introduction
It is necessary to register Venta Pro™ software for use on an end-user site. The
Demonstration software supplied by Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd will allow the use of all
functions fully. However if the software is installed on a site a registration must be

Registration
ë To register the Venta Pro™ software for use you will need to phone or mail the
ECR/EPoS Technical Department
ë Start Venta Pro™ in the usual manor by selecting a relevant ID and Password to
gain access into the Manager Menu.
ë Select "Utilities"
ë Select "Product Registration"
ë You are faced with the following screen: -
ë Phone or mail Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd ECR/EPoS Technical Department and
relay "Your Registration Lock Code". You will be given the unlock code, enter the
code using either the QWERTY keyboard on screen or the keyboard plugged into
the PS2 port.
