I want to change to Price band 2 from within the trading screen but
without having to enter my server name and password. I just want to
press 1 key.

The following allows a macro to be used to change to a manual Price
level from within the function-trading screen. Eg to change to Price
2 you can use the following macro. 
C10,C10,1,XE,1,1,1,XE,XM10,XM4,2,XE,XN,XM0,XM3

Can I place a security level against a product. So that I am prompted
for an authorised server name and password, if the current server
who is of low authority level tries to sell a particular product.

No but

 you can use Function F40 (Manager) within a Macro to place an

Authority/security level against a list ie F40,L6 will prompt for an
authorised server name and password before opening LIST 6 if
Function F40 has an authority level and the password box is enabled.

I have VPM running on the till but when I start VentaPos I get the
following error.

S2004 “Terminating. Fatel error -10 Reason: anet_init failed 10048
fatel exit.

This error occurs when you have VPM running and then try and
Start VentaPos on the same machine.

You must close VPM and then run VentaPos first before starting VPM.

I am upgrading my VentaPro software to the latest version.
But when I run Setup.bat I get the message “Venta PRO Not
Installed”

This message occurs when you have old venta running on the same
machine.

The Setup.bat file looks for the c:\sapp folder and if it exists the “Venta
PRO Not Installed” message appears and the Upgrade is aborted.

Remove Old Venta!
