To get into the Bios on the UP-X500 perform the following you will need a
full size keyboard
1.
Power on the machine when the message "SETUP 
available" is displayed at the bottom of the screen press
the . key on the numeric keypad.

The message Entering setup is displayed.

When the message "Waiting Setup Entry Key.." is 
displayed. On the Numeric pad press the 7 and . key 
together.

Hardware Faults - Cash Drawer does not fire
If both drawers are faulty it is likely that the Drawer
Fuse has failed (F3 VHQRXE040++-1) it is situated on
the Main PWB next to drawer connector 1 CN30, This is
a Poly Switch type fuse also available from RS
Spares as product number RXE040
