8.  Get the base data form the Host System

Connect the ORDERMAN® Base Station2 to the host
system to a free RS232 channel (using the correct
adapter; see also host system manuals).

Check that the host system is in the normal
communication or order mode.

Restart the ORDERMAN® Don.
After the Power on, the ORDERMAN® Don displays
a status message for about two seconds.
If the ECR-Interface is not OK after 10 seconds
=> restart the ORDERMAN® Don
(see the figure on the right).

INFORMATION:
The ORDERSOLUTION now also supports automatic database updates to be triggered
from the ECR. Please also refer to your ECR’s manual if the following steps are
necessary.

ATTENTION:
Don’t press the Touch to start. During the configuration of your system a radio-
connection to the ORDERMAN Base Station2 is required. This is only guaranteed when
both OKs are received in the start window.

After the ORDERMAN® Don has booted select the SETUP button.

Enter the System Menu

Here you can also see the “Menu Card…”
and the “User Flags…” section. These are
secured by a password that can be changed
in the ORDERMAN® OSC software at the
“Text Translation Table” at text entry 399
The default value is 2545 if the password is
activated in the “User Flags…”.
