CHAPTER 9. SRV MODE
1.OUT LINE
This programming chiefly consists of service programming jobs and to perform this programming, it must be entered the SRV-mode by
program reset operation.
Reports on the contents of this programming can be printed.
Purpose
This programming is mainly performed when the ECR is shipped,
installed, or serviced.
[Operation]
1. Enter
1. Enter
SRV-mode
Operator can enter the SRV-mode by program reset operation.
Please refer to "Program resetting" about program reset
operation.
Enter the SRV mode secret code when the MODE menu is
displayed.
[MODE] → xxxxxxxx (SRV mode secret code) → [ENTER]
Programming
Perform the programming following the procedure shown below.
Data entry: (Data) --> ENTER
Exit: TL
See the descriptions of respective programming procedures for
job code and data.
NOTE: Sweden/Netherland/Norway/Germany fiscal
specification
This model supports fiscal specification.
Master
resetting
Master resetting clears the entire memory and resumes initial
values.
Initial values of language can be selected one from following 5
kinds.
1 English
4 Spanish
2 German
5 Swedish
3 French
Master resetting is available in the following two types:
Master
resetting
1:
Clears the entire memory and resumes initial values.
Master
resetting
2:
Clears the entire memory and resumes initial values.
(Master resetting 2 enables the layout of fixed keys in
addition to master resetting 1.)
Master resetting 1 and 2 can be accomplished by using the
following procedures.
1. Master resetting 1
1)
Unplug the AC cord from the wall outlet.
2)
Push [JOURNAL paper feed] key and [1] key.
3)
Plug in the AC cord to the wall outlet during the depression
of above 2 keys.
Enter the secret key operation.
(--> Language selection menu is displayed.)
4)
Push the corresponding number key.
(--> MASTER RESET progress bar is displayed.)
(--> DATE/TIME setting screen is displayed.)
5)
Set current date/time and push [TL] key.
(--> TAX RATE setting screen is displayed.)
6)
Set tax rate and push [TL] key. (REG mode screen is
displayed when [CANCEL] key is pushed.)
(--> REG mode screen is displayed.)
2. Master resetting 2
1)
Unplug the AC cord from the wall outlet.
2)
Push [JOURNAL paper feed] key and [2] key.
3)
Plug in the AC cord to the wall outlet during the depression
of above 2 keys.
Enter the secret key operation.
(--> Language selection menu is displayed.)
4)
Push the corresponding number key.
(--> [ENTER 0 KEY] is displayed.)
5)
Program following keys in this sequence.
(This means that the key first pressed is programmed as the
[0] key, the key pressed second as [1] key ---- and the last
key pressed as the [TL] key.)
To inhibit a particular key, press the [0] key at the point
when that key should be programmed.

Program resetting (Initialization)
Program resetting resumes the initial program without clearing
memory.
1. Unplug the AC cord from the wall outlet.
2. Push [JOURNAL paper feed] key and [CL] key.
3. Plug in the AC cord to the wall outlet during the depression of
above 2 keys.
(--> MODE menu screen is displayed.)
Below text is stored in EJ. (There are no printing for receipt
printer)

fiscal mode)
Secret key operation
This operation is used as password of MRS operation.
Following key sequence have to enter after operate reset switch.
If the operate is wrong sequence then program reset is performed.
