Stepping Motor Drive Section
6.8.1.
Engine Motor Drive Circuit
1. Functions
This motor functions for main operations FAX reception and copy printing.

2. Motor operation
Excitation pulses is output from G/A (IC107) pins 83, 84, 85 and 86. Then stepping pulses are output from driver IC (IC101)
pin No 2, 7, 8 and 13, and drives the motor coil.
During motor driving, pin 90 of G/A IC107 becomes a low level.
As a result, a current of about 1A are supplied to the motor coil.

1. Functions
This motor functions for main operations including FAX transmission.

2. Motor operation
During motor driving, pin 25 of ASIC IC106 becomes a high level, and Q109, Q101 turns ON.
As a result, +24V is supplied to the motor coil.
Stepping pulses are output from ASIC IC106 pins, 21, 22, 23, 24, causing driver IC103 pins,
16 ~ 13 to drive the motor coil.
The motor coil is energized sequentially in 2 phase increments, which causes a 1-step rotation.
A 1-step rotation feeds 0.065mm of document paper.
As a result, +24V is supplied to the motor coil.
